FIFA 22: Hope United challenge offers GREAT squad with a better cause

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has a new featured squad battle to challenge this week.

It may not be the most difficult squad to overcome, but that's not the point, this week it is about raising awareness, with Hope United coming to the game.

Check out the team and learn about Hope United below, then take it on in Squad Battles.

Squad Battles are the offline version of division rivals, with various weekly ranks and rewards.

As EA say in their Tweet, "Great Squad. Better cause", and we couldn't agree more.

BT formed Hope United in order to unite against online hate.

It's thought that 1 in 10 of us have received online abuse in the past year, so top footballers are coming together to teach some digital skills needed to tackle online hate.

You can find out more about Hope United and learn these skills right here.

Defence

A card many players wanted to get their hands on when it came out, Headliners Aaron Ramsdale is the man between the sticks.

He is yet to see his card upgraded yet, but there is still plenty of football to be played this season.

It's a back four, with Trent Alexander-Arnold's Rulebreakers version one of the sides playmakers.

This card also gained a pace boost, which will be useful, as next to him is the sluggish Conor Coady.

With only 47 PAC, this is the area you will look to be attacking through, and hope that TAA doesn't get involved.

Next to him is Team of the Week Tyrone Mings, a towering figure who will intercept anything in the air, can keep pace with many strikers, and power most players off the ball.

Rounding off the defence is Road to the Knockouts Andrew Robertson, another Liverpool full-back, another playmaker in the defence.

Midfield

It's a full English from the midfield three, with Adidas Numbers Up Declan Rice giving protection in front of the defence.

With 99 Vision, 99 Short Pass and 99 Long Pass, he can manoeuver the ball between the lines just as easily as nicking it off your attacker's toes.

TOTW Jordan Henderson is the workman on one side, lacking a bit of pace but able to do everything else pretty effectively.

He may not be getting much game time in real life, but Jessie Lingard makes it into Hope United's starting XI, although it is only a Gold card version.

Still, beware, as he may unleash one of his characteristic long shots and catch your keeper unawares.

Attack

The only representative not from the Premier League, Gareth Bale is on the right-wing, looking to prove that he still has what it takes.

Another Gold card, but another with a rocket of a long shot on him.

Through the middle is another Rulebreakers card, this time it is Michail Antonio, and your defenders will have their work cut out!

Already a very physical player to deal with, the Rulebreakers version boosted his pace even more and made him a sharpshooter in front of the goal, so he will be a handful to deal with.

Finishing off the squad is FUT Versus Ice Marcus Rashford, who will be hard to tackle on the wing, as he offers top pace, shooting and skill on the ball.

Make sure your right flank is covered, as he will definitely prove more of a threat than Bale down your left.
