The latest promo, FUT Captains, has proved a success in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with Team 1 already bringing us some brilliant cards, with boosted FUT Heroes, current club captains, and Prime Icon Moments all included.
Team 2 is set for release on Friday, 15 April at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, but it appears that the FUT Hero Captains couldn't wait until then, with multiple people getting them in packs.
To make matters worse, that wasn't the only issue FUT players faced that fateful day...
Swooping in early
The big news is obviously FUT Hero Captains from Team 2 making an early appearance.
As stated, they shouldn't have been released into packs until Friday, 15 April at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, along with the other Team 2 players.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened during the FUT22 season, with fans becoming exasperated at the recurring blunders that affect the game.
Some players will be thrilled if they packed a new Hero Captain, however, others will have complaints that the pack chance percentages will have changed, with compensation required.
No news from EA yet
Despite many players discovering unreleased FUT Hero Captains in their packs, there has been no word from EA on the subject.
Usually, we would see a tweet come out from the FIFA Direct Communication account, letting us know they have been made aware of the issue and it is being investigated, with some sort of compensation possibly coming too.
At the time of writing, there has been no mention of the Hero Captains issue, which is rather strange considering how widespread it seems to be.
However, that could be due to other bugs that EA needed to deal with first.
What happened last night?!
The early FUT Hero Captain release wasn't the only issue that occurred that day, with not one, but TWO scheduled Squad Building Challenges failing to drop at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
The real surprise was the weekly Marquee Matchups failed to materialise, which is the bread-and-butter release for a Thursday.
The daily Prime Icon Moments SBC we've been getting during the FUT Captains promo didn't make it out either, but this time the FIFA Direct Communication account did get involved.
Both the Marquee Matchups and the Prime Icon SBC for Carles Puyol have since gone live, a full 19 hours later than scheduled, at 8am ET / 1pm BST on Friday, 15 April.
Weirdly, there was no delay on the Martin Terrier Ligue 1 Player of the Month SBC, which managed to make it to the game at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
The final Addidas NumbersUp upgrade also landed at the same time, with all players involved in that promo gaining a 99 rating in their specific attributes.
