The FIFA 22 Ultimate Team FUT Captains promotion is in full swing, with Team 1 replaced by the Team 2 squad this evening.
Team 2 looks to have bettered the Team 1 release, with Abedi Pele and Marcelo amongst the many stars to feature in the squad.
As always, if you're looking to save a few quid, then you can get your hands on FC Lorient captain Fabien Lemoine, who is available for free via the Seasonal Objectives menus.

Assisting the Attack
- Assist 4 goals with Through Balls in the Live FUT Friendly: National Knights
- Objective Reward: One Gold Pack
Winning Ways
- Win 4 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: National Knights
- Objective Reward: One Small Electrum Players Pack
Fine Example
- Score a Finesse goal in 8 separate matches in the Live FUT Friendly: National Knights
- Objective Reward: One Premium Gold Pack
Release Date
The FUT Captains promo landed in FIFA 22's Ultimate Team on Friday, 8 April at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
Team 1 cards were available in packs until Friday, 15 April at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, at which point they were replaced by Team 2 cards.
Another mini-release of three players is also expected to drop on Sunday, 17 April, again at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
