Brighton has established itself well as a Premier League club, but reaching the next level has proved difficult for the Seagulls.
So, have you got what it takes to take Brighton to the very top and challenge for major trophies in FIFA 22 Career Mode?
Team Rating
Brighton has a 4-star rating in FIFA 22.
The breakdown of the ratings is as follows: ATT 77, MID 74, DEF 76.
Starting Lineup and Formation
The 5-2-1-2 formation is most suitable for the personnel of Brighton in order to be dynamic going forward whilst remaining defensively solid.
Starting with the three big centre-backs, we have Lewis Dunk, Joel Veltman and Adam Webster.
The back three sits in front of the ever-reliable, Robert Sanchez in goal.
The two wingbacks who will support both the attack and the defence are Marc Cucurella and Tariq Lamptey.
The midfield trio consists of Yves Bissouma and Enock Mwepu in the engine room, with Adam Lallana in the number 10 role.
Leading the line as a strike partnership is Neal Maupay along with Leandro Trossard.
Tactics and Instructions
The wing-backs are the absolute KEY to this system, so make sure to instruct both Lamptey and Cucurella to Overlap, whilst keeping the three centre-backs on Stay Back While Attacking.
We want to strike a nice balance between the strikers up front, so, instruct Trossard to Stay Forward and Get In Behind, whilst keeping Maupay on Stay Central.
Allow Lallana to Free Roam, whilst keeping the more defensive of the two midfielders, Bissouma, on Stay Back While Attacking and Cover Centre.
Development Plans
When it comes to developing youngsters, there are several players to focus on within this Brighton squad.
Marc Cucurella (POT 87) and Tariq Lamptey (POT 84) can be developed into a world-class wing-back pairing with a few seasons of training.
Similarly, Yves Bissouma (POT 84) and Enock Mwepu (POT 81) can become a top-class midfield pivot, with both players fitting the 'meta' in FIFA 22.
We could recommend converting Leandro Trossard (POT 78) into an out and out striker.
Transfer Market
Starting budget: £33 million
Who should go?
Brighton seems to have a fair few players that do not fit the FIFA 22 'meta' who can be sold in order to generate funds for other signings.
Shane Duffy (OVR 74), Dan Burn (OVR 75), Danny Welbeck (OVR 73) and Jurgen Locadia (OVR 70) can all go to free up some funds for new signings.
We would also let Lewis Dunk (OVR 79) leave too, as he is too slow to be a top-class centre-half in FIFA 22 and can be sold for around £20 million.
The following youngsters can also be sold as their potential rating is not high enough in FIFA 22 to challenge for a first-team spot:
Zak Emmerson, Ulrick Eneme-Ella, James Furlong, Jeremy Sarmiento, Haydon Roberts
Loans
Kjell Scherpen (POT 81) is one of the most promising youngsters on the books who is currently not near the first team, so an early loan deal could do him the world of good.
Tudor Baluta (POT 82), Alexis Mac Allister (POT 82) and Jakub Moder (POT 82) are all promising young players capable of becoming Premier League level.
Brighton already has several players out on loan too, with Leo Ostigard (POT 80) the main one to keep an eye on.
Who to sign?
Once you sell Lewis Dunk, a centre-back will be the number one priority in the transfer market, and you should have a good chunk of cash to splash!
Our top pick would be Liverpool's Joe Gomez (POT 88), who will set you back around £40 million.
Transfer Options (CB)

You will also need to look for a striker, with Trossard not quite up to standard in FIFA 22 and Welbeck on his way out of the club.
Cagliari’s Keita Balde (OVR 76) is our favourite option in this position and is available for just £9 million.
