We're currently seeing a golden generation of players from Belgium, with world-class talent from Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois, to name but a few.
Although some fantastic players, namely defenders, seem to have mistimed their peak, another generation is coming through that can add their talent to the mix.
So, find out who the best Belgium wonderkids are to sign on your FIFA 22 Career Mode.
What makes a wonderkid?
For a real wonderkid you have to be a teenager upon FIFA 22's release, so only players aged 19 or younger at the start of Career Mode will be included.
Jeremy Doku (OVR 77 - POT 87)
Jeremy Doku really came onto the scene with eye-catching performances for Belgium during Euro 2020, giving the game sparks of excitement when he took on opposition players.
With 92 PAC and 83 DRI already, he will strike fear into any defender that tries to stop him.
Maarten Vandevoordt (OVR 71 - POT 87)
The Genk academy is probably the reason for Maarten Vandevoordt's high potential rating, as it has produced the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Yannick Carrasco and Thibaut Courtois in the past.
If you sign this guy you should be rewarded with a very respectable keeper, who at 17 became the youngest goalkeeper in Champions League history.
Pierre Dwomoh (OVR 60 - POT 85)
Pierre Dwomoh has had very little game time, moving through a few youth teams looking for more minutes than he was getting, and has now wound up at Royal Antwerp.
He has 72 PAC and decent dribbling, so could wind up as a CF.
Aster Vranckx (OVR 67 - POT 85)
Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx could be one of the next big Belgian stars, with the legs to match his high work rate in midfield.
74 Aggression and 73 Strength are Vranckx’s two highest attributes, but the 18-year-old is a more than capable ballplayer too.
Romeo Lavia (OVR 62 - POT 85)
He helped his team to win the Premier League 2 title and was voted Player of the Season, and is now in Manchester City's first team.
Fernandinho has taken Romeo Lavia under his wing and the youngster will hope to emulate his success, but there is a long way to go yet.
Hugo Siquet (OVR 69 - POT 83)
He doesn't have dazzling potential, but Hugo Siquet should be on your radar.
Decent movement, skill, crossing and defending attributes mean that, although not rated amazingly, this guy will be great to play with.
Amadou Onana (OVR 68 - POT 83)
A giant at 6'5", and already with 79 Strength, expect Onana to become a real powerhouse.
He is a new recruit at Lille and will be looking to impose his physicality in Ligue 1.
Luca Oyen (OVR 65 - POT 83)
Another from the Genk academy, Luca Oyen might not become a speedster on the left wing but will have good dribbling to take him past defenders.
He will feel quite nimble to play with, just requiring some better end product to push him onto the next level.
Tibo Persyn (OVR 66 - POT 83)
Able to play at RM, RW and RWB, you will want to keep Tibo Persyn higher up the pitch to make use of his superior attacking talents.
He has some speed about him, with 82 PAC, but will need his technical abilities to match that if he is to become really good.
Yari Verschaeren (OVR 73 - POT 83)
Yari Verschaeren has picked up over 80 appearances for Anderlecht already, helping out with goals and assists.
He can be a very slippery CAM, with 89 Agility and 85 Balance letting him weave between players with his 77 DRI.
