FIFA 22: Beginner's Guide to Ultimate Team - The Green Shoots of Progress

FIFA 22 may be deep into its season, but that doesn't mean there aren't those that are dipping their toes in for the very first time.

In this series, accumulated over the coming weeks and months, we follow one team, No Clue FC - guided by the RealSport101 team - in their quest to dominate FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Last week, No Clue FC added some big players to their squad, but how will the land lie after another week of Ultimate Team action?

If you want to watch the latest episode of 'No FUTting Clue', head over to our Twitch channel, the series will be streaming LIVE every Monday at 6 pm GMT.

All We Do Is Win

The main goal of this week’s stream was to win matches.

Whilst that may sound obvious, pride was at stake when it came to the Live FUT Friendlies ‘Classic Cup’ games.

With 3 games permitted each day, No Clue FC embarked on a journey to win all 3 and gain another opportunity to test the club's pack luck.

As ever, it was a mixed bag, but 2 wins out of 3 meant that packs could be opened, with a Europa League MOTM Kostic the best player to join the club.

No Clue FC also found themselves sporting some brand new attire, with the Real Madrid 4th kit SBC completed.

A simple objective to complete in FIFA 22 – even for the No Clue gaffer – the sleek black offering from the Galactico’s certainly brought some luck as the team progressed in the Classic Cup.

With no other standout objectives on offer, the attention turned to showcasing the MLS stars that have lit up the squad.

As mentioned in our previous MLS Objectives players review, the quartet of Miles Robinson, Sebastian Lletget, Marcelino Moreno and Xherdan Shaqiri adds a totally different dynamic to your squad.

At the bargain price of absolutely nothing, No Clue FC is a shining example of the positive impact these stateside stars can have.

Season Progress

Off stream, the goal for No Clue FC has remained the same; win games, gain XP and work towards securing the first storyline pick of the new season, with MLS right back Ruan certain to improve the team’s overall rating.

With a few more wins in the Classic Cup and qualification secured for the weekend league – something that will no doubt be streamed in the near future – No Clue FC is looking to move up in the world.

The powerhouse pairing of Luis Suarez and Josef Martinez is still bearing fruit, with the little and large dynamic working perfectly in the 4-4-2.

Elsewhere, No Clue FC has been rattling through some basic SBC challenges, a clever way to improve your squad whilst also preparing you for the big drops, like the Michail Antonio SBC that came out recently.

Next Steps

With the state of the squad still very much the same following Monday’s stream – with no major players added – we want to take a look ahead to next week.

With Icon Swaps objectives currently available, there is every chance that No Clue FC will look to give their squad an iconic look.

Be sure to tune into Monday’s stream, where No Clue FC will go in search of their next big scalp, with the prospect of major improvements to the squad looming on the horizon.
