The Bundesliga has some of the best players around in FIFA 22, many of them having good pace and power to take a real physical team into battle.
For 100k you can get in some of the top players on Ultimate Team, but we have had to cut a bit of budget in defence to do so.
We've lined up as a 4-3-3 with a CDM, which will offer cover to your backline, whilst letting your other midfielders and attackers get forward and break teams down.
Kevin Trapp (OVR 82)
First up in the budget defence is Kevin Trapp, who at 750 coins seems a total bargain.
He doesn't have the best kicking, but with 82 Diving, 84 Reflexes and 82 Positioning he is a safe pair of hands between the sticks.
Price:
- PlayStation – 750 coins
- Xbox – 750 coins
Nordi Mukiele (OVR 81)
At right-back, we have the very steady Nordi Mukiele.
He isn't intended to make bombing forward runs, so his 80 PAC will be more than enough to cover defensively.
Price:
- PlayStation – 700 coins
- Xbox – 700 coins
Jeremiah St. Juste (OVR 76)
If Mukiele is getting outpaced, then Jeremiah St. Juste can help out with his 94 Sprint Speed.
He's in the team for more pace at the back and isn't the best player defensively, so you could look to switch him for Niklas Sule (82 OVR), Edmond Tapsoba (81 OVR) or Manuel Akanji (80 OVR) for the same price if you want someone more solid.
Price:
- PlayStation – 800 coins
- Xbox – 900 coins
Lukas Klostermann (OVR 80)
Despite not having the highest rating around, Lucas Klostermann has been many players' favourite defender.
He is very mobile, and also strong defensively, but best of all, he's super cheap!
Price:
- PlayStation – 800 coins
- Xbox – 1,000 coins
Jerome Roussillon (OVR 77)
Jerome Roussillon is the most expensive player in our backline, as he is the go-to left-back option if you can't afford the 20,000 coins to get Alphonso Davies.
With 88 PAC and 78 DRI, he has a freer role to get forward than Mukiele on the other side.
Price:
- PlayStation – 2,000 coins
- Xbox – 1,800 coins
Emre Can (OVR 82)
At one point Emre Can would have cost nearly 30,000 coins to bring in, with many players seeing what a great all-round card he has.
A strong, physical presence to protect your defence, Can is comfortable in all aspects of the game, so don't worry if you see him getting forward, he'll still be effective!
Price:
- PlayStation – 1,100 coins
- Xbox – 1,400 coins
Leon Goretzka (OVR 87)
Half the budget has gone on Leon Goertzka, but his price has dropped massively from a possible 200,000 coins.
He is your box-to-box powerhouse in midfield, who, like Can, excels in all aspects of play.
Price:
- PlayStation – 54,000 coins
- Xbox – 53,000 coins
Marcel Sabitzer (OVR 84)
Finishing off the midfield three, Marcel Sabitzer is another all-rounder, but more of an attacking threat than a defensive blocker.
He has a sweet right foot on him, so don't be afraid to try curling in some finesse shots from outside the box.
Price:
- PlayStation – 2,700 coins
- Xbox – 2,900 coins
Leroy Sane (OVR 84)
Pace on the right-wing is offered by Leroy Sane, who will stretch defences by getting in behind.
Being a left-footer, he can cut inside and deliver devastating shots on goal.
Price:
- PlayStation – 2,700 coins
- Xbox – 3,500 coins
Erling Haaland (OVR 88)
Erling Haaland is a machine up top, offering pace, power, top finishing and an aerial threat.
His price has fluctuated, dropping as low as 15k, but is on the rise again now, and could settle around the 30k mark.
Price:
- PlayStation – 24,000 coins
- Xbox – 26,750 coins
Kingsley Coman (OVR 86)
On the left flank is pace merchant Kingsley Coman, who will mirror Sane on the other wing.
He isn't as good at shooting as Sane, but you can use his superior dribbling to get closer to the goal and unleash an easier shot.
Price:
- PlayStation – 14,000 coins
- Xbox – 14,500 coins
100k Bundesliga Starter Team
This is how the full squad will look:
Price:
- PlayStation – 107,350 coins
- Xbox – 108,000 coins
