There is some uncertainty surrounding which promo event could be revealed next on FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.
However, the Winter Refresh is one of the favourites, after all, it is still technically winter.
Check out below who we think could be included in a potential Winter Refresh XI this season.
Release Date
The Winter Refresh promo could begin as early as Friday, 26 February, although this could be the start of the Carniball promo instead.
If Carniball does indeed arrive first, then the Winter Refresh could follow on Friday, 12 March.
What is Winter Refresh?
Previous Winter Refresh events have included player upgrades, as well as a new squad of special cards.
Whether we see something different this year remains to be seen, but expect EA to follow their trend this year of positional changes and special squads.
Predictions
If we do see the blue Winter Refresh cards return, these are some of the players we could see included.
Alejandro Gomez (OVR 90)
Not only has Alejandro Gomez been one of Europe’s top attacking midfielders in recent seasons, but he has just moved teams too.
Gomez switched Atalanta for Sevilla in January, meaning he could receive a new Ones to Watch (OTW) card as well as feature in a special Winter Refresh squad.
Jack Grealish (OVR 89)
It is looking more and more likely that Aston Villa talisman Jack Grealish will reach double figures for both goals and assists this season.
Grealish has already received a Team of the Year (TOTY) honourable mention card this season, and a new Winter Refresh card could see his rating rise even higher.
Sebastien Haller (OVR 88)
Another forward who could receive a OTW card having moved clubs in January, Ajax’s Sebastien Haller could feature in the Winter Refresh.
EA has been keen on releasing French special cards, and with a Moussa Dembele SBC already out, Haller seems like the perfect choice to bridge the French / Eredivisie connection.
Reddit Prediction
Reddit user ChubbyBunny9674 has shared their Winter refresh prediction should the squad go ahead.
Like in our prediction, Alejandro Gomez leads the line-up, but there are some other exciting inclusions too.
The Premier League is well represented by new boys Martin Odegaard and Ozan Kabak, and in-form West Ham left back Aaron Cresswell.
In summary, some of the top transfers and most in-form players from this season could combine to create the Winter Refresh XI.
