This week’s FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Featured Squad comes from Dutch footballing legend Ruud Gullit.
The most surprising selection in this team is the exclusion of Gullit himself as he is one of the game’s most popular players.
Take a look at the latest Featured Squad below and see if you have what it takes to beat it.
Featured Squad Battle
Squad Battles are the offline version of division rivals, with various weekly ranks and rewards.
This week’s featured squad, selected by current FUT Icon Ruud Gullit, looks to be set up in a 4-3-3 with some serious talent included.
Defence
Team Chemistry does not appear to be on the agenda for Gullit, but who cares when you can pick some of the best cards in the game!
Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon takes his place in goal, with Team of the Year (TOTY) star Virgil van Dijk and Sergio Ramos forming a formidable partnership ahead of him.
It looks like another Italian legend will play left-back, with Icon Moment Paolo Maldini the most likely option.
On the right of defence Gullit has opted for Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal, who we assume will be playing next to his teammate and Spanish compatriot Ramos.
Midfield
The exact shape of Gullit’s midfield we are unsure of, but it looks as though Kevin De Bruyne could play further forward.
Belgian maestro De Bruyne’s TOTY card is insane, so you will need to keep a close eye on him if you are to beat Gullit’s team.
Behind KDB, French Icon Patrick Vieira provides the defensive steel and physicality, not that they need any extra protection!
Real Madrid’s Luka Modric also takes his place in a terrific midfield three packed with technical quality, although we still can’t believe Gullit did not select himself.
Attack
The only area of the pitch without any Icon players. Gullit’s front three is packed with goals so you will have your work cut out to keep a clean sheet.
We start in the right-hand side with one of the greatest players of all time, Lionel Messi’s 98 OVR TOTY card.
Through the middle is Bayern Munich’s clinical striker and arguably the best on the planet right now Robert Lewandowski, who also boasts a 98 OVR.
Completing the trio is Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Neymar who will dazzle with his tricks but also provide a goal threat too.
