The Lunar New Year begins soon, and we have seen EA celebrate the event in the past.
Lunar New Year, or Chinese New Year, is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar marking the end of winter.
What can we expect on FIFA 21 Ultimate Team? Find out below.
Release Date
The Lunar New Year arrives on Friday, 12 February as we welcome in the Year of the Ox.
EA are likely to release objectives to work towards and earn Lunar New Year themed vanity items.
Friday will also see the beginning of Season 4, with plenty of objectives and rewards to unlock.
In a busy day on FUT 21, Team 2 of the Future Stars promo will also be released into packs.

FIFA 20 Lunar New Year
In previous years, EA has released some fairly straight forward objectives with the reward of themed vanity items.
We saw ‘Year of the Rat’ Stadium Theme and Tifo’s released, alongside the reward of XP.
There was also a ‘Lantern Ball’ and some new kits released too, so we are likely to see more of the same this year.
We doubt there will be much more than this, but we would love to see a new player SBC.
Predictions
As mentioned above, we fully expect to see a range of items including balls, kits and stadium themes released.
We would love to see a player SBC released to celebrate the Year of the Ox, and who better than the Ox himself!
Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a great way to welcome in the Lunar New Year, but we don’t think it likely.
Alternatively, a celebratory Lei Wu would also go down well.
