FIFA 21 ICONs: EA states David Beckham Deal Rumours are inaccurate

The English legend is coming to FIFA 21!

David Beckham will join the ICON lineup in next month, and there were rumours that he'd be taking home a hefty fee.

Three-Year Deal

Becks, who has recently appeared in rival title Pro Evolution Soccer - has signed a three-year deal with EA to appear in the FIFA franchise on PlayStation and Xbox.

Rumours began to emerge that EA REALLY wanted Beckham involved, with claims of an eye-watering pay packet of up to £40 million!

It was initially believed that David Beckham would earn £40 million in return for his appearance on the EA Sports title, but EA has stated that this is false.

A spokesperson from EA has said: “We’ve seen the reports on the terms of our deal to bring David Beckham back into our EA SPORTS FIFA game. We don't disclose specific details, but we can be definitive that the figures being reported are being completely sensationalized and are in no way accurate.”

This means that any reports that Beckham was offered anywhere near the £40 million figure are not true.

Beckham's appearance on the title means that he will feature alongside his MLS franchise Inter Miami, who also feature in FIFA 21.

All you have to do in order to unlock the 86-rated Real Madrid version of the Englishman is log in to FIFA 21 before January 15th 2021.
