For those who pre-ordered one of the lucrative editions of the game - the Champions or Ultimate Edition - can get playing the game immediately.
If you've missed the boat, fear not, you too can get playing straight away by purchasing FIFA 21 here.
FIFA 21 Release Date
EA has confirmed FIFA 21 will launch on current-gen consoles on Friday, 9 October 2020.
EA Play
So if you want to get early access to FIFA 21, you'll want to check out EA Play. It's a subscription service that allows you to play all of your favourite EA titles.
One of the major perks of the subscription is that you get early access to titles like FIFA 21, with members able to play the game before the official release date.
BACK OF THE NET - Destroy your opponents in Ultimate Team!
EA Play players will be able to download FIFA 21 a whole week before it is released, but there's a catch.
You'll be limited to ten hours of gaming time only, but when that starts as early as Thursday,1 October, we'll certainly take it!
How do you sign up?
Signing up to EA Play is super straight forward, and your subscription can be paid either yearly or monthly.

Pre-order
FIFA 21 pre-orders are now open, and there are three main editions for players to get their hands on.

Champions & Ultimate Editions
When you download or pre-order either the Champions or Ultimate Edition of FIFA 21 you will get access to the game three days earlier than the official release date.
PERFECT TIMING: There's more than one way to get early access!
This means that by pre-ordering these editions, you can have your hands on the game on Tuesday, 6 October.
Along with early access, these editions arrive with the
usual added bonuses of free Ultimate Team packs too!
Web App Live
The FUT 21 Web App is officially live.
This means players can finally get started building up their FIFA 21 Ultimate Team squad, including the TOTW 1 cards which are available now.

EA Play joins Xbox Game Pass!
No one saw this coming, but from "this holiday" EA Play joins the Xbox Game Pass family!
The 60+ games currently on EA Play will now become available with Xbox Game Pass - but only if you move for the Ultimate (Console + PC) or PC-only versions.
The EA Play service will officially join the Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday, November 10 - coinciding with the release of the Xbox Series X & the Xbox Series S!

Rewards coming to EA Play
In the past, EA Play (or EA Access as it was known) would give you early access to games, access to the EA Vault and even discounts on EA games.
Now in-game rewards joins the subscription.
LEVEL UP - There's even more reason to get on EA Play this year
We are yet to see what exactly these are, but in this tweet from @easportsfifa we can see "Members get even more FIFA 21 throughout the season with XP Boosts, monthly recurring vanity items, and a 10% member discount on in-game purchases".
