French giants Paris Saint-Germain will look to gain a few key upgrades on FIFA 20 after their title winning season. They have been disappointing on the European stage, and a few improvements in the midfield and defence is required.
They have some quality talent, especially going forward. The 2019/20 season could be huge for PSG, especially if they keep hold of Neymar, who is looking to force a move back to Barcelona. However, the squad are looking at some major improvements in FIFA 20 and will remain one of the best teams of FIFA.
RealSport looks at what the PSG line up could look like for the upcoming season.
Alphonse Areola (OVR 81 - 80)
Position: GK
Age: 26
Country: France
Alphonse Areola had quite an inconsistent season for PSG. He shone in some games with his catlike reflexes, but he had some howlers and it wouldn't be surprising, with Buffon moving back to Juventus, another GK gets brought in to replace him. Hence why his rating is likely to fall to 80.
Thomas Meunier (OVR 82 - 83)
Position: RB, RM
Age: 27
Country: Belgium
Thomas Meunier didn't really get a look in last season because the departing Dani Alves was still on fire for PSG. However, the games he played at right back were sharp, registering three goals and three assists last season. Which is why he deserves an upgrade to a strong 83 on the game.
Thiago Silva (OVR 88 - 88)
Position: CB
Age: 34
Country: Brazil
Brazilian veteran Thiago Silva never fails to perform every season for the French giants. His experience and quality at the back shone throughout the campaign. Silva will remain one of the top centre backs on the game in FIFA 20, therefore his rating remains at 88.
Presnel Kimpembe (OVR 83 - 83)
Position: CB
Age: 23
Country: France
Kimpembe is another member of the squad who had a slightly disappointing season. However, his potential to improve shows. As they moved Marquinhos further up the pitch, he did a good job at fulfilling his role at the back. Therefore, the Frenchmen deserves to stay at a solid 83.
Juan Bernat (OVR 76 - 79)
Position: LB
Age: 26
Country: Spain
As Layvin Kurzawa fell, Juan Bernat rose. Even though he didn't have a spectacular season, his 76 overall is way too low for his ability. He filled in well for PSG and undoubtedly deserves a nice upgrade to 79.
Marquinhos (OVR 85 - 87)
Position: CB, CDM
Age: 25
Country: Brazil
Brazilian international has been improving every season and there is no surprise he deserves an 87 rated card in FIFA 20. Making the most starts for PSG last season, he contributed more than any other player defensively. His ball playing ability improved, which moved him into defensive midfield towards the end of the season. With another element to his game added, don't be surprised if Marquinhos rises from an 85 overall to 87.
Marco Verratti (OVR 86 - 87)
Position: CM, CDM
Age: 26
Country: Italy
It was another solid season for Italian midfielder Marco Verratti. He picked up only two assists in the campaign, however his defensive duties didn't go unnoticed, so an upgrade could be on the cards. On the ball he is also excellent and we should expect his dribbling to stay in the high 80s.
Angel Di Maria (OVR 84 - 86)
Position: RW, LW, CF
Age: 31
Country: Argentina
Dangerous Argentine Angel Di Maria had an unreal season. Neymar's injury gave him the opportunity to shine, and he took it. Di Maria picked up 12 goals and 11 assists in the 2018/19 season and he should be rewarded with an overall increase from 84 to 86.
Neymar (OVR 92 - 92)
Position: LW, CAM
Age: 27
Country: Brazil
In a season hampered by injury, Neymar secured 15 goals in just 16 starts league starts last season. There are several rumours he is on his way back to Barcelona, which just confirms the quality he has as one of the best wingers in the world. Expect his overall to remain at 92.
Kylian Mbappe (OVR 88-91)
Position: ST, RW
Age: 20
Country: France
Kylian Mbappe is still football's golden boy. At only 20 years' old he is looking to be already one of the world's best. In just 24 starts, the French youngster picked up 33 goals, which is out of this world by even Messi and Ronaldo's standards. His 88 rating isn't quite fitting for his quality in front of goal, therefore he deserves at least 91 in FIFA 20.
Edinson Cavani (OVR 89 - 89)
Position: ST
Age: 32
Country: Uruguay
Edinson Cavani had another class season. Scoring 18 goals, he shone occasionally which just shows how competitive and strong PSG's attacking threat is. The Uruguayan goal machine will stay at 89, it justifies his goal scoring ability, but this looks set to be his final season at the top.

On the bench
Kevin Trapp (OVR 80 - 81), is still a back up however he had an amazing season with Frankfurt, which could push him into the starting 11.
Timo Kehrer (OVR 78 - 80) broke into the first team regularly last season, he showed his class in the Champions League, the youngster could improve to an 80 overall in FIFA 20.
A major injury caused Layvin Kurzawa (OVR 79 - 79) to miss 16 games for PSG, meaning that it's hard to justify an increase in overall. Julian Draxler (OVR 83 - 82) missed around a month of football last season and didn't get too many opportunities, therefore a downgrade should be expected for the German international.
The new Spanish midfielders on the block Ander Herrera (OVR 82 - 81) and Pablo Sarabia (OVR 83 - 84) could end up starting for their new club as the season rolls on. The arrival of the pairing could spell danger for the versatile Christopher Nkunku (OVR 76 - 77), who could be set for a loan spell away from the club. Idrissa Gueye (OVR 82 - 82) will also knock on the starting 11 door after his arrival from Everton this summer.
Notable mentions are Leandro Paredes (OVR 80 - 80), Jese (OVR 76 - 75) and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (OVR 77 - 76) who are all useful options in terms of depth for PSG.
