Ligue 1 does have a nature of being stale, but with the likes of Nicolas Gaitan and Steven N'Zonzi moving to the top flight, expect some fireworks in the second half of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Monaco looked to the future, bringing in five players under the age of 21.
A new batch of Ones to Watch (OTW) cards are set to be released very soon. OTW cards are selected from players that have changed clubs during the latest transfer window.
Their OVR will match the highest-rated in-form (IF) card of that player, but only if the IF card matches the club they currently play for.
Nicolas Gaitan (OVR 81)
Nicolas Gaitan has returned to Europe after spells in China and the United States, joining Lille on a free transfer. The Argentine midfielder possesses plenty of fire-power and Lille will hope he can provide the service for the likes of Victor Osimhen and Loic Remy.

Gaitan has no special cards yet this season, but a OTW in Lille colours could be boosted to 84 should he be selected in a TOTW.
Steven N’Zonzi (OVR 80)
Former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has joined Ligue 1 high-flyers Rennes on loan after enduring a tricky start to the season at Galatasaray - missing a number of games either through injury or non-selection.
Rated 80 overall and with impressive physical attributes, N’Zonzi is an imposing figure in the middle of the park. A potential OTW card would be his first special of the season.
Karl Toko Ekambi (OVR 79)
Cameroon striker Karl Toko Ekambi has hit the ground running at new club Lyon, scoring twice and providing an assist in his first four appearances. Lyon are the third-highest scoring side in the league, making this loan move one of the stranger transfers of the January window.

The former Villarreal striker has an 82 rated IF card and 86 rated POTM card to his name, although a OTW card will begin at his basic 79 OVR. An IF while at Lyon could boost this rating to around 84 OVR!
Majeed Waris (OVR 75)
Having fallen out of favour at Porto, Majeed Waris has returned to France where he was very successful with Lorient. The former Hartpury College student has already scored twice for new club Strasbourg, including the winner off the bench away at Toulouse.
The pacey Ghanaian winger could become a popular man among FUT fans with a massive 92 Spring Speed. A OTW card for Waris would be his first special card of the season.
Remi Oudin (OVR 75)
French winger Remi Oudin completed his £9 million move to Bordeaux from Reims in early January. Bordeaux are now unbeaten in their last four matches, with 23-year-old Oudin contributing a goal in their 2-1 victory over Metz.
Oudin has no special cards this season but could be in for an OTW following his winter transfer. The promising midfielder’s rating could rise to 80 should he hit some good form in his new colours.
