The winter break is over and La Liga is back!
Real Madrid sit three points ahead of defending champions Barcelona after they fell to a shock defeat at Valencia on Saturday.
Sevilla and Getafe make up the rest of the top four, with Atletico Madrid a spot further behind in fifth.
Flip the table on its head and you’ll find Espanyol, Leganes and Celta Vigo all in relegation danger as the league starts to hot up.
With Copa del Rey action taking place this month there have been limited league fixtures, but which individuals stood out?
Raphael Varane (OVR 85 - POTM 90)
Real Madrid had a perfect start to 2020, winning all three of their league games in January, conceding just a single goal. Raphael Varane picked up two clean sheets and a goal in the month, giving him a serious shout at the POTM award.

Varane is a fan favourite on Ultimate Team, mainly thanks to his pace. His 87-rated inform which he picked up this month is a whopping 500k on PS4 and 385k on Xbox One. Expect any potential POTM card to be seriously expensive.
Santi Cazorla (OVR 82 - POTM 87)
No matter who you support, you just can’t dislike this man. After suffering a near career-ending injury, former Arsenal star Santi Cazorla is back at the top of his game with Villarreal.
He’s back in amongst the goals for his club side, picking up two in three appearances in January as Villarreal continued their good form into the new year with two wins out of three in the month.
Cazorla’s highest rated card on the market - an 86-rated inform - can be picked up for 21k on the PS4 and 28k on the Xbox One.
Luuk De Jong (OVR 82 - POTM 85)
Sevilla had a pretty impressive 2019 and are hoping to continue that this year as they bid for a Champions League spot for next season.
If striker Luuk De Jong continues to find the back of the net then that shouldn’t be an issue. The Dutchman scored two goals in three outings in January as Sevilla retained their spot in the top three.

Portu (OVR 80 - POTM 83)
Real Sociedad have impressed this season, currently sitting in sixth place in the table. However, January wasn’t a great month for them, picking up just one win from three.

However, Portu had a decent month individually, with a direct contribution to three of the four goals his side scored in the month (one goal and two assists), so he could well be in line for a maiden POTM appearance.
You can pick up his base card for 700 coins on PS4 and 900 coins on Xbox One.
David Lopez (OVR 78 - POTM 83)
They may be sat rock bottom of the table, but Espanyol have yet to suffer defeat in 2020.
They picked up five points from a possible nine in January, including a draw with Barcelona - whilst they didn’t keep any clean sheets, centre back David Lopez scored two massive goals in their quest for survival.
Lopez’ 78-rated base card can be purchased for 700 coins on PS4 and 1.3k on Xbox One.
