The football season is truly up and running, with all five of Europe’s big leagues all now back in action.

In the Premier League, more wins for Liverpool and Manchester City shows it is to be business as usual this season, whilst Tottenham and Manchester United suffered shock defeats to Newcastle and Crystal Palace, respectively.

Elsewhere on the continent there were goals scored from new signings Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku, give them a great chance of making the Team of the Week on FIFA 19.

A squad of 23 in-form players will be released at 6pm on Wednesday, 28 August on Ultimate Team. You can challenge the squad for a coin bonus, and if you’re lucky, find the players for yourself in packs from the FUT Store. Alternatively, you can buy and sell them on the transfer market.

RealSport looks at who could make the team this time around.

Martin Dubravka (OVR 77 – IF 80)

Newcastle picked up one of the shock results of the weekend with their 1-0 win away at Tottenham. New boy Joelinton may have got the goal, but much of the credit has to go to Magpies ‘keeper Martin Dubravka who made four big saves as Spurs somehow failed to find the net.

Dubravka’s 77 overall should rise to an in-form 80 this week, with his base card priced at 450 coins on PS4 and 500 on Xbox One.

Pavel Kaderabek (OVR 79 – SIF 83)

Hoffenheim featured in a topsy-turvy clash against Werder Bremen, with right wing-back Pavel Kaderabek grabbing an 87th minute winner. The home side went from 1-0 down to 2-1 up, only for Werder to equalise with 10 men. Kaderabek secured the points to give his side their first victory of the season.

The Czech defender is likely to increase from 79 to a second in-form card of 83, with his base item worth 450 coins on PS4 and 800 on Xbox One. Kaderabek’s 82 in-form will set you back as much as 40,000 on both consoles.

Giorgio Chiellini (OVR 90 – SIF 92)

It was a sluggish start to Juventus’s title defence, as the Old Lady only managed to steal a 1-0 victory against Parma. Giorgio Chiellini was in the right place at the right time to poke in a scuffed Alex Sandro low ball into the area, giving Maurizio Sarri his first points as Juve manager.

Chiellini should see his 90 overall improve to a 92 in-form, with his base card costing 40,000 coins on both consoles. A 91 in-form is worth 95,000 on both PS4 and Xbox One, whilst his 95 Team of the Season item will set you back 250,000 on PS4 and 216,000 on Xbox One.

Patrick van Aanholt (OVR 75 – IF 79)

It was quite a weekend for big goals from defenders, with perhaps none bigger than Patrick van Aanholt’s against Manchester United. The left back’s drive in the 93rd minute saw them snatch all three points at Old Trafford in a 2-1 victory, and push them into the top half of the table.

A 75 overall for the Dutch Van Aanholt should now improve to an in-form 79, with his base card costing 1,500 coins on PS4 and as high as a mad 10,000 on Xbox One.

Mohamed Salah (OVR 88 – TIF 92)

Mohamed Salah just can’t stop. The Egyptian blew Arsenal away in a 3-1 win over Liverpool over Arsenal, with Salah scoring twice, including a penalty in which he won himself. With him in this form, just maybe the Reds can go one better and secure the Premier League title this season.

An 88 overall for Salah is likely to improve to 92 this week, with his base card priced at 30,000 on PS4 and 30,000 on Xbox One. A 91 Champions League Man of the Match card will cost you 350,000 on both consoles, whilst a 97 Team of the Season card comes in at 825,000 on PS4 and 930,000 on Xbox One.

David Silva (OVR 89 – SIF 91)

Sergio Aguero may take the headlines for a brace in Man City’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth, but David Silva, was again doing bits in the engine room. The Spaniard picked up two assists, ensuring the champions stay within two points of Liverpool at the top of the table.

Silva’s 89 overall is set to improve to a second in-form rating of 91, with his position moving from attacking to central midfield. His base card costs 30,000 coins on PS4 and 25,000 on Xbox One, with a 90 CM in-form worth 63,000 on PS4 and 60,000 on Xbox One.

Luis Alberto (OVR 82 – TIF 87)

Similarly for Lazio, it was Ciro Immobile who bagged a brace in the 3-0 win away at Sampdoria, but Luis Alberto was the architect with two assists. It’s a perfect start for I Biancocelesti, who are looking to bounce back from finishing eighth last term.

Alberto’s 82 overall is in line to rise to a third in-form of 87, with his position moving from centre forward back to central midfield. His base card requires just 750 coins on both consoles, whilst a 86 CM second in-form costs 50,000 on PS4 and 50,000 on Xbox One.

Lorenzo Insigne (OVR 88 – SIF 91)

Staying in Italy, Lorenzo Insigne was the star for Napoli with the winger netting two goals and assisting twice as they fought off Fiorentina in a crazy 4-3 result. With Juventus in their next game, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are going to Turing full of confidence and goal scoring form.

Insigne’s 88 overall is set to improve to a 91 second in-form item, with his base card priced at 22,750 coins on PS4 and 25,000 on Xbox One. An 89 ST in-form costs 55,000 on PS4 and 50,000 on Xbox One.

Sebastien Haller (OVR 81 – IF 83)

Sebastien Haller got off the mark for new club West Ham thanks to a brace in the 3-1 away win over Watford. The £45 million man is a record signing of the Hammers, and he looks to be the complete package to repay that transfer fee from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Haller’s 81 overall rating should improve to an in-form 83, with his Frankfurt base card worth 700 coins on both consoles. An 89 Team of the Season card is priced at 29,000 on PS4 and 37,500 on Xbox One.

Antoine Griezmann (OVR 89 – SIF 92)

With no Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez, there was plenty riding on Antoine Griezmann on his Barcelona debut, but the Frenchman showed his class by bagging a brace on his Camp Nou debut. The 5-2 victory gets Barca back on track after stumbling 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao last week.

Griezmann’s 89 overall should rise to a second in-form 92, with his Atletico Madrid base card costing 27,500 coins on PS4 and 26,750 on Xbox One. A 92 Champions League item costs 340,000 on PS4 and 347,000 on Xbox One and a 97 Team of the Season CF will set you back 790,000 on PS4 and 729,000 on Xbox One.

Robert Lewandowski (OVR 90 – 4IF 95)

A new season and Robert Lewandowski is still scoring goals, with the striker bagging all three in the 3-0 win for Bayern Munich against Schalke. Borussia Dortmund may have spent big this summer, but it may not make a difference if the Pole is still firing them in.

Lewandowski’s 90 overall would rise to a 95 fourth in-form card if he makes the Team of the Week, with his base card priced at 37,000 coins on PS4 and 40,250 on Xbox One. His 94 third in-form item is worth 320,000 on PS4 and 308,000 on Xbox One, and a 98 Team of the Season card costs 750,000 on PS4 and 777,000 on Xbox One.
