FIFA 19 TOTW 35 predictions (Team of the Week 35)

We’ve finally reached the end of a season in Europe, with the Premier League the first top-flight division to complete their league campaign this past weekend. The title race did go down to the wire, with Manchester City triumphant, but spare a thought for Liverpool who finished second on a remarkable 97 points.

Things aren’t over yet in the rest of Europe, but league titles have already been secured by Barcelona in Spain, Juventus in Italy and PSG in France. The same cannot be said in Germany however, with Bayern Munich dropping points this weekend meaning the Bundesliga title fight goes to last day with Borussia Dortmund breathing down the defending champions’ neck.

So, after a superb final weekend of action in the Premier League has well as the latest rounds across Europe, who deserves a spot in the FIFA 19 Team of the Week? A squad of 23 players will be released on FIFA Ultimate Team on Wednesday, 15 May at 6pm, and can be challenged for a coin bonus. You can try to get the players for yourself by hunting in packs from the FUT store or buy and sell them in the transfer market.

RealSport looks at who could make the TOTW this time around.

Lukas Hradecky (OVR 84 – IF 86)

Bayer Leverkusen are still in the hunt for Champions League football, and they have goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky to thank. A 1-1 draw with 15th placed Schalke may be a disappointing result, but a Hradecky penalty save from Daniel Caligiuri ensures the club remain level on points with fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach with just one game to go.

An 84 overall for Hradecky should improve to an in-form 86 on Ultimate Team, with his base card priced at 4,800 coins on PS4 and 3,700 on Xbox One.

Alessandro Florenzi (OVR 82 – IF 85)

Roma picked up a shock result by knocking off Italian champions Juventus 2-0, boosting their own European ambitions. Right back Alessandro Florenzi got on the scoresheet during the victory, which keeps Roma in sixth place, but just one point off Inter Milan in fourth.

Florenzi’s 82 overall is likely to rise to an in-form 85 this week, and you can claim the Italian’s base card for 4,100 coins on PS4 and 7,300 on Xbox One. An 87 live Champions League item is worth 77,000 on PS4 and 85,000 on Xbox One.

Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions for the fourth time this weekend and became the first side since Manchester United in 2009 to defend the title. Centre back Aymeric Laporte capped a fantastic season with the second goal in a 4-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, as City came back from behind to take the three points and league title.

Frenchman Laporte is rated at 84 on Ultimate Team and this should now improve to a second in-form card of 89. His base rating costs 8,400 coins on PS4 and 8,500 on Xbox One, with an 85 Champions League item priced at 17,500 on PS4 and 19,000 on Xbox One. An 87 LB in-form from TOTW 22 will cost 65,000 on PS4 and 75,000 on Xbox One, whilst an 88 Man of the Match card will set you back 130,000 on PS4 and 145,000 on Xbox One.

Despite now having much to play for, Napoli are still racking up the results, with a 2-1 win over SPAL reducing the gap to title winners Juventus to 13 points. Mario Rui notched in the win, and if Napoli continue to rack up the victories and Juve fail to bounce back from one win in their last five, the Naples club could take some valuable form into next season.

Rui’s 78 overall is set to rise to an in-form 81, with his base card priced at 800 coins on both consoles. A 78 Champions League item is worth 1,300 on PS4 and 2,300 on Xbox One.

Thorgan Hazard (OVR 83 – SIF 88)

Thorgan Hazard has had a fine campaign, netting 10 goals and 12 assists for Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga. The Belgian international picked up another goal and assist in the 4-0 victory over Nurnberg, meaning ‘Gladbach just need to win their final match in a huge clash against title chasing Borussia Dortmund to secure Champions League football.

Thorgan should see his 83 overall improve to a second in-form card of 88, and his position should move from right to left wing. His base card costs 2,000 coins on both consoles, with an 86 RW in-form priced at 42,500 on PS4 and 100,000 on Xbox One.

Thomas Delaney (OVR 79 – TIF 86)

Speaking of Borussia Dortmund, Thomas Delaney was the main man has BVB closed the gap on Bayern Munich to just two points going into the final game of the season. Dortmund defeated Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-2, with Danish international Delaney scoring and bagging an assist.

Delaney’s 79 overall deserves to increase to a third in-form card of 86, and his position should move from central to defensive midfield once again. His base card costs 800 coins on PS4 and 950 on Xbox One with an 80-rated Champions League item coming in at 2,100 on PS4 and 3,400 on Xbox One. Back to Manchester City, and David Silva was perhaps their best performer in the title claiming win over Brighton, with the Spaniard picking up two assists. Now aged 33, he may play a different role in the City squad next season, but with 14 assists in all competitions this season, he is still a vital part of the side.

An 89 overall for Silva should improve to a 92 second in-form card, with his position moving from attacking to central midfield. His base item is priced at 45,000 coins on PS4 and 42,500 on Xbox One, whilst a 90 Champions League card will cost 70,000 on PS4 and 74,000 on Xbox One. A brace for Sadio Mane in the 2-0 win for Liverpool over Wolves may not have secured the club a first Premier League title, but it did mean Mane moved level with Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang onto 22 goals, with all three players sharing the golden boot. Mane will look to take his form, four goals in his last three PL games, into the Champions League final against Tottenham on June 1st.

Mane’s 86 overall should improve to a 90 second in-form card, with his base rating valued at 18,250 on PS4 and 18,000 on Xbox One. An 87 LM in-form from TOTW 7 costs 159,000 on PS4 and 153,000 on Xbox One, whilst a 90-rated Champions League Team of the Knockout Stage card costs 350,000 on PS4 and 335,000 on Xbox One.

Over in Serie A, Torino are still in the European hunt, with the club just two points off a Europa League spot and three off a Champions League place. A 3-2 win over Sassuolo means Il Toro are eight games unbeaten, thanks to a brace from main man Andrea Belotti.

Belotti should see his 82 overall improve to an 87 third in-form item, and you can claim his base card for 1,000 coins on both consoles. The Italian’s 86 base card is priced at 55,000 on PS4 and 50,000 on Xbox One.

Michy Batshuayi (OVR 81 – OTW 86)

A difficult season that started with Valencia has ended positively for Michy Batshuayi at Crystal Palace, with a brace in the 5-3 win over Bournemouth may see him stay at Selhurst Park next season. Five goals in 11 games is a useful return for the Chelsea loanee, but the question remains where he will be at the end of the summer.

Batshuayi’s 81 overall should improve his Ones To Watch card to 86, with his base card valued at 700 coins on both consoles. His 84 OTW item is currently priced at 19,500 on PS4 and 20,000 on Xbox One.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (OVR 88 – SIF 91)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also bagged a brace this weekend, as Arsenal defeated Burnley 3-1. The two goals means the Gabon international shared the golden boot with Liverpool pair Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but he will still be disappointed the Gunners didn’t finish in the top four, after winning just two of their final seven games, losing four.

Aubameyang’s 88 overall is set to improve to a 91 second in-form item, with his base card priced at 54,000 coins on PS4 and 50,000 on Xbox One. An 89 in-form from TOTW 12 costs 325,000 on PS4 and 300,000 on Xbox One, and a 91 right wing FUT Birthday card will set you back 515,000 on PS4 and 525,000 on Xbox One. His 92 Europa League Team of the Knockout Stage item is worth 723,000 on PS4 and 672,000 on Xbox One.
