It’s the final round of the group stage of the Gfinity Elite Series, and all eyes will be on FIFA 18 as the competition intensifies.
The teams in top spot in Groups A & B will go straight through to the semifinals, but those in second and third place will go into the playoffs, to be played on Thursday, April 12.
Last week, Team Envy took a big step towards the knockout stages with a 2-0 victory over Excel, putting the American franchise top of Group A. The defeat dumped Excel out of the competition, having failed to win any of their four matches.
Over in Group B, Fnatic face a nervous wait after only drawing with Method 1-1 in their final group stage game. Although the AS Roma-backed franchise are currently second in the table, a victory for both Method and Epsilon over Unilad and Ares respectively, could see Fnatic miss out on a playoff spot.
Hashtag United’s win over Vitality last week gives them the upper hand heading into the final round of fixtures, but with just one point separating the top four sides, plenty can change.
Vitality face the unbeaten Nordavind at the Gfinity Arena in London, knowing a victory would see them leapfrog their opponents from fourth to second and secure at least a playoff place. Hashtag United, the favourites of many to win the competition, also face an unbeaten team in the form of table toppers Envy.
The stream will go live at 18:00 BST on Friday, April 6. Please wait a few seconds for live stream to load.
