Whether you are strutting your stuff in the Premier League or looking for promotion in the Championship, there is always plenty of room to bring in a loanee or two to top up your squad. With the wealth of young talent on show in the world of football these days, it is superb to see that it has been translated across into the land of FIFA1. RealSport takes you through the top 10 players to bring in on loan in FIFA 17’s Career Mode.

Mario Lemina (OVR 77)
Young Mario Lemina was on loan at Juventus last season, and despite featuring in just ten league games, the Gabon international did enough to earn a contract at the club. With Juventus already having the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira, Claudio Marchisio and Hernanes as options in midfield, Lemina’s game time will be limited for the Serie A champions. This gives you the perfect opportunity to snap up the defensive-minded midfielder in your career mode. He should improve to 78 or 79 by the end of the season, so if you are a bottom-half top-flight side, he could be the midfield blanket to add balance.
Jesse Lingard (77)
Now I know what you’re thinking, Jesse Lingard is firmly in Jose Mourinho’s plans after delivering in both the FA Cup Final and Community Shield in the past few months, but FIFA Career Mode isn’t real life. With Manchester United already having Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Memphis Depay, there is not a lot of room in there for Lingard to get minutes on the pitch. So if you are looking for a winger who can get in on the goals as well as assists, Lingard could be your man, and if he has a good first season, you’d have a great chance of snapping him up on a permanent deal.
Ravel Morrison (77)
There are no promises here, but a move for Ravel Morrison could change his (virtual) career. We saw in flashes at West Ham how good the Englishman is, and with a potential of 81, he could be a great player to sign on loan or permanently. Although his positions are in central midfield, he can play on either flank due to his agility (79) and dribbling (81). One worth taking a punt on.
Marco Van Ginkel (77)
If it hadn’t been for injury, Marco Van Ginkel would have been on his way out Chelsea this summer. After suffering a second serious injury, he hasn’t been able to leave the club, but there is a feeling he still has the potential do great things. One of a few box-to-box midfielders available in the world of football, he would be useful to have at any top flight club, either as a starter or backup. He could get close to 80 overall after the first season, so one definitely to consider.
Juan Iturbe (77)
After failing to get a run of games on loan at Bournemouth last season, it will surprise everyone to see Juan Iturbe on this list. But there is still no doubting that when he is on form, he is dangerous. With lightning sprint speed (92) and superb dribbling (85), Iturbe is a player worth having around. His composure (69) lets him down, but if you want to bring some pace off the bench, then Iturbe could just be your man.
Marko Pjaca (76)
Few would have heard of Marko Pjaca upon joining Juventus this summer, but the impression is growing that he has something special. With Juve playing five at the back however, you should be able to sign him on loan, and with a potential of 86, he may be worth forking the money out for. With pace stats all in the high 80s and dribbling & ball control above 85, this is a young player who can tear opposition defences apart.
Andre Horta (76)
At just 19 years' old, Andre Horta is already picking up plenty of game time for Benfica, but given his FIFA rating, he should be able to be snapped on loan. An ideal signing for a Championship side eyeing promotion, Horta is a player who can quickly get you on the attack after winning the ball. With agility (90) and balance (92) to die for, this is a player who can almost walk around defenders.
Mikel Merino (76)
A summer arrival from Osasuna, Mikel Merino seems a strange buy from Dortmund, considering the strength and depth they have in midfield. Sven Bender, Nuri Sahin, Gonzalo Castro, Shinji Kagawa, Sebastian Rode and the returning Mario Gotze will all surely be picked ahead of him, which gives you a great chance of grabbing him on loan in Career Mode. A tall central midfielder that is great in the air, he can be the midfield enforcer for four-star rated clubs that are susceptible to being caught on the counter-attack.
Otavio (76)
With a high potential, Otavio has to be one of the best loan signings out there on FIFA 17. Able to play wide on the left or behind the striker, he has all the makings of being one of the world’s best. With a far more kind wage than a lot on this list, he would be worth signing by any top-flight club, and with plenty of game time, he can be hitting 79 by the end of his first season.
Ruben Neves (75)
A defensive midfielder is an often underrated position, but if you have someone in there who just does the basics right, it can go a long way. His value and wage are incredibly low, so he is, in fact, a player who is worth buying straight away. At the very least you should be putting in a loan with a buy option, and although his value seems low, a bid close to £15 million is perhaps a more realistic transfer fee.
