Legacy of a Lioness is a brand-new Evolution in FC 25. It's inspired by Alex Scott, who scored a historic Champions League-winning goal and defined an era for the Lionesses both on and off the pitch. Now, with the Evo, you can have your wingbacks build a similar legacy for your Ultimate Team.

The maximum overall requirement for the Evolution is 93, and that means a couple of previously meta cards are eligible. Some results are pretty strong and can easily see you through FUTTIES, even if you don't pack any of the pink cards.

The five most standout picks for Legacy of a Lioness in FC 25 are:

  • Cafu (TOTY Icon)
  • Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Grassroot Greats)
  • Maicon Douglas (Fantasy FC Hero)
  • Danny da Costa (Flashback SBC)
  • Jonathan Clauss (TOTS)

For fullbacks, you'll generally find someone who is taller and/or a bit more physical to perform better. Unless you want to play them more upfront as an attacking wingback.

A more dominating one means you can muscle wingers out of possession, particularly those flitty ones, and there is a possibility of Lengthy acceleration with the right Chemistry style to catch them on the counter.

Given the stat boost and the way the Evolution is capped, most players will end up with similar stats, so most of it will come down to their Playstyles.

Cafu is probably the least physical player on this list, but he feels really good to play. His TOTY card was top class but has fallen a wee bit behind the power curve. With this Evolution, it can bring back one of the all-time great fullbacks to your starting eleven.

All our other picks are very physical. Di Lorenzo tops among them, as he is cheap to get, has a great combo of playstyles, and gets Controlled Lengthy with Anchor. His Playstyle combination is what nudges his Evolution card ahead of others and is better than his Team of the Season.

The Italian does miss out on Anticipate+, which both Maicon and da Costa get. But both of these cards are no longer obtainable. Costa also doesn't get Fullback++ roles for RB, and he's unlikely to start over your Evo Theo Hernandez (we know, you lot are boring).

Maicon is an elite option. Unfortunately, he doesn't have Intercept+, not even the silver one. So, while he'll still be good, the Evolution might not be his best upgrade yet.

Intercept+, Bruiser+, and Quick Step+ are probably the best combo to have on wingbacks. We like the fourth to be a passing one to link up with wingers, or Anticipate+ if all you want is to defend with them. The plus versions of Quick Step and Intercept are very important. Silver for Bruiser will be fine if they're already physical.

Is Legacy of a Lioness Evolution Worth Doing In FC 25?

Legacy of a Lioness is a decent Evolution in FC 25, but not really an amazing one, especially when you consider it is priced at 75k Coins. If you have our top picks, you'll get a superb card, but for rare ones that you cannot get again, the upgrades are not that tempting.

We will have FUTTIES soon, and there is a high chance we will get better Evolutions. As we suggest with every Evolution, it is best to wait until the end day to see all possible upgrades. For someone cheap and easy to acquire like Giovanni Di Lorenzo, though, you're free to do it right now.

That's everything you need to know about the Legacy of Lioness Evolution in FC 25.
