In this piece, we will discuss several Italian players who have found themselves in hot water, and what actions EA are taking with the player's in-game characters, so let's take a look.

Tonali set for FC 24 removal

Along with Nicolo Zaniolo, Newcastle's Sandro Tonali finds himself in the headlines for a potential breach of betting rules.

Juventus star Nicolo Fagioli was handed a 7-month ban last week after admitting to the breach, resulting in him being removed from EA FC 24. Now, his Italian teammates are facing similar punishments if found guilty.

According to Sky Italy, Tonali's legal team are in discussions with Italian authorities over a 10-month ban after he admitted to placing bets on matches in which he played. If this ban does indeed come into place, the 23-year-old will follow Fagioli in being axed from FC 24 in the near future.

EA usually acts swiftly when it comes to these situations, so be sure to make your decisions before it's too late. If you have Tonali or Zaniolo in your Ultimate Team squad, now is probably a good time to sell before they are removed from the game.

Fagioli became the second Juventus midfielder to be removed from FC 24 in recent weeks after Paul Pogba was provisionally suspended in September for failing a drug test. Ivan Toney also remains unavailable in the game following his removal from FIFA 23.
