Far Cry 6 is the first game in the series to be on next-gen consoles, so it's understandably beautiful to look at. You'll want to take pictures of the stunning sunsets as you wander around the tropical island. If you do, here's how to use photo mode in Far Cry 6.
How to Use Photo Mode in Far Cry 6
By default, you need to put a little work into bringing up the photo mode in Far Cry 6. If you pause the game, you can scroll along to the System tab and select Photo Mode from there.
That will open up the overlay and allow you to position the camera to take the perfect picture.
As is often the case with photo modes in open world games, you can add various filters and change the positioning however you'd like to make your image perfect.
However, if you can't be bothered to head to the menu that way every time you want to use the photo mode in Far Cry 6, you can set it up to be easier.
If you head to the System tab again and select Controls, and then On-Foot, you'll find 'photo mode' near the bottom of the list.
It'll be 'unassigned' by default, but here you can bind photo mode to whatever button you like so that you can get to it quickly whenever you'd like.
We'd recommend it being a button or combination of buttons you don't use very often. For example, we set Far Cry 6's photo mode to both L3 and R3 at the same time. That way, we didn't accidentally start using it in the middle of an intense fight. You can set it to whatever you're comfortable with, though.
With photo mode now having a shortcut, you can jump in and out of it quickly, rather than having to head into the pause menu first. We recommend setting it up if you plan to use photo mode in Far Cry 6 more than once.
