PG - Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors
Even with games on back-to-back nights, Ball is the play here because both the Lakers and Warriors play up-tempo. Both teams will have extra possessions, which means more chances for Ball to rack up big numbers. Even before his recent scoring surge, in which he has averaged 11.3 points, 6.6 assists and 6.0 rebounds in his last seven games, the rookie has fared well against Golden State this season, averaging 18.3 points, 7.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in the three matchups that all came before Christmas.
Ball has also shot 57.9 percent (11 for 19) from 3-point range and 50 percent overall in those contests.
Also consider: Eric Bledsoe, Milwaukee Bucks @ Orlando Magic
With Celtics guard Kyrie Irving ruled out for Wednesday night's game against Washington, Bledsoe becomes the next-best option as the Bucks face a Magic team playing on back-to-back nights after completing a winless five-game road swing. Orlando may also be without two of its starters in Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier.
Bledsoe has been quietly efficient in two games versus the Magic this season, posting 33 points and 12 assists while making 13 of 24 shots. He has averaged 12.5 points, 5.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 11 lifetime games versus Orlando and could be in line for a big game here.
