Saturday's early kick-off was a largely forgettable affair but it was not without its talking points.
The goalless draw saw both goalkeepers make good saves and it showed us a glimpse of Liverpool's peripheral players as the club rotated in-between European matches.
It also gave us more of an insight into what Sam Allardyce's Everton are really made of as they had a real opportunity to win their first Merseyside derby since 2010.
