EA Sports FC: Leaker suggests EA could sign HUGE deal with Playstation

FIFA and EA Sports have announced their long-rumoured split, with EA Sports FC officially announced.

The brand new title will first launch in 2024 and be the first football game developed by EA Sports without the FIFA title.

With a host of leaks and rumours starting to swirl regarding the new title, we've got the latest on a leak that suggests EA and Sony may be about to team up.

EA Sports FC + Playstation

FIFA leaker 'FUTZoneFIFA' has taken to Twitter to reveal that EA Sports and Sony could be in talks about a deal to bring perks and benefits to Playstation players once EA Sports FC rolls around.

Presently, this leak is unconfirmed and unreported elsewhere, potentially questioning its validity.

However, EA Sports will certainly be looking to plug the financial hole left by FIFA's departure, and moving to sign deals with companies like Sony wouldn't be surprising at all.

It's important to note that any potential deal won't make EA Sports FC exclusive to Playstation users, with Xbox players still representing a huge market for EA.

While we wait for any further news on this potential new deal, let's discuss what perks could arrive for PS players.

Perks and Benefits

Playstation players would undoubtedly be thrilled if this rumour turns out to be true, with potential perks and benefits on offer to them.

Free Ultimate Team packs for PS Plus members would be the most obvious perk, with this scheme already present in FIFA 22.

Playstation players could also see exclusive deals on the game, as well as offering further benefits to both offline and online play.

If this deal does in fact come to fruition, we'd be interested to see how EA would balance the console war and not lead Xbox fans turning away.

What is EA Sports FC?

EA released the following regarding EA Sports FC in their official statement:

"EA SPORTS FC will allow us to realize this future and much moreā€¦but not before we deliver our most expansive game ever with our current naming rights partner, FIFA, for one more year."

"We are committed to ensuring the next FIFA is our best ever, with more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions, and players than any FIFA title before."

With FIFA 23 still set to offer us plenty more brilliant content, it really is exciting times for FIFA/EA Sports FC fans!
