FC 24 is now here! And we're bringing you the best strikers in Career Mode. Strikers, or centre-forwards, have one of the toughest jobs on the pitch, putting the ball in the back of the net; without them, your team simply wouldn't win.
Your perfect striker will need to have a mixture of experience and room to grow with the new training plans and coaching staff features proving to help your teams improve, better than ever before.
We'll take you through everything you need to know about STs in your EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode save right here!
What makes a good striker in FC 24?
Pace and power have always been vital to making a good striker in FIFA games, and that is the same in FC 24.
Few defenders can deal with a blend of speed and strength, and finding a striker that is good in both is always ideal. Of course, it's also pretty rare, so having someone who excels in one aspect is also good.
You want someone with good shot power and finishing, but that kind of goes without saying!
Best STs in Career Mode
To kick things off, we need to clarify that this list will contain the 10 best-rated strikers and centre-forwards in Career Mode, meaning Icons and Heroes from Ultimate Team will not be included.
While some technicalities are separating both STs and CFs, with centre-forwards usually more skilled and strikers focusing on finishing, we'll be grouping them for this guide.
Attacking players such as these, have dominated the world stage this past year, scoring goals and winning countless trophies in the process, inevitably earning them a place in the Top 100 Rankings for EA Sports FC 24.
We'll also include the best 10 young strikers as honourable mentions, ones that are likely to increase as the years go by in your Career Mode save.
These (relatively) cheaper attacking options are suitable for a club that doesn't have the GDP of a small country to spend on a player. These aren't to be confused with the best wonderkids, which we tackled in a different article.
Kylian Mbappe (91 OVR)
The joint highest-rated player in the game, Kylian Mbappe is arguably the greatest player in the world right now and will likely be one of the most expensive players in Career Mode.
At just 24 years of age, Mbappe has at least a decade left in his career, meaning he still hasn't reached his potential ceiling yet - a frightening prospect.
With only a year left on his contract, the Frenchman could be tempted to move away from Paris, like he has been rumoured with in real life, and with the Champions League still eluding him, you could win his first European trophy in your save.
However, he will likely cost you well over £100 million, unless you can get him as a free agent in the second season.
Erling Haaland (91 OVR)
Let's be honest; this man is a machine. If you are unaware of Erling Haaland, he quite simply cannot stop scoring goals.
Fresh off the back of a treble-winning season with Man City, the Norwegian is another ST who is joint-highest rated in FC 24.
Scoring 52 goals in 53 games last season, the 23-year-old will set you back nearly £200 million on Career Mode, but he will be well worth the money.
Karim Benzema (90 OVR)
Making our way over to the Middle East, we have the current Ballon d'Or holder, Karim Benzema, living a life of luxury in Saudi Arabia.
The Frenchman made the move from Real Madrid to Jeddah this summer, despite scoring 19 goals in 24 La Liga games for the Galacticos.
Whether you start a save at a star-studded Saudi club or want to sign Benzema elsewhere, you will have to be quick, as the 35-year-old will only have two or three years left at the top level.
Harry Kane (90 OVR)
Harry Kane at a different football club than Tottenham; it just doesn't look right. However, the England captain made the move this summer in search of some much-deserved silverware.
After another ridiculously impressive season in a struggling Spurs side, the 30-year-old could be the perfect talisman for your save. With the ability to play in the ST and CF role, Kane scores in abundance but can also provide you with an assist or two as well.
At the peak of his powers, you could still get a good five years out of the forward, however, a transfer away from Bayern might cost you around £150 million.
Robert Lewandowski (90 OVR)
This really could be the best year for high-rated strikers in Career Mode.
Despite winning La Liga last season, Robert Lewandowski only scored 23 goals in the league - a poor return for his standards.
Perhaps that's a bit too harsh, considering he is one of the greatest numbers nines in world football.
The Barcelona attacker is 35 years old, so won't cost you too much; however, at his ripe age, you will only get two or three years of him at the peak of his abilities.
Honourable mentions
Five more impressive STs in EA Sports FC 24 include the following:
Player | Age | Overall | Club |
---|---|---|---|
Lionel Messi | 36 | 90 | Inter Miami |
Antoine Griezmann | 32 | 88 | Atletico Madrid |
Victor Osimhen | 24 | 88 | Napoli |
Lautaro Martinez | 26 | 87 | Inter Milan |
Paulo Dybala | 26 | 86 | Roma |
Best young STs in EA FC 24
Next, we will focus on the best young strikers in EA Sports FC 24. These are the players that will have the highest overalls at the start of the game and are 21 years old or younger.
Similarly to the highest overall strikers, we'll start with the top five before covering five more in a table at the bottom. These players have huge potential and will improve a lot as the years go on.
Rasmus Hojlund (76 OVR 89 POT)
A tall, blonde Scandinavian striker playing in Manchester; any guesses?
Hojlund, not Haaland, is a big presence in the box, and United's new £72 million signing from Atalanta.
The 20-year-old impressed in his debut season with the Italian club, scoring nine goals in the league, and on the international stage, he has six goals in four games for Denmark.
Signing Hojlund on your Career Mode save won't set you back that much. Instead, he'll cost around £20 million.
Elye Wahi (78 OVR 88 POT)
A huge +3 overall and potential for Wahi moving from FIFA 23 to EA FC 24. Wahi already has 90 pace and he doesn't stop there, maxing out at 99 in just a couple of seasons. He is one of the best strikers on Career Mode and is a MUST BUY if you can afford him. Valued at £26.7M at the start of Career Mode.
Youssoufa Moukoko (77 OVR 87 POT)
For those who play Career Mode like it's a second job, Youssoufa Moukoko will be a player you have signed several times over the past few years.
At just 18 years of age, he's an out-and-out EA FC 24 wonderkid. The German international has played over 60 times for Borussia Dortmund and is even the youngest player to ever play in the Bundesliga.
His low centre of gravity and lightning speed make for a really fun player to use, and he could feature in your team for the next 20 seasons. He's certainly up there with the Bakkali's and Tielemans' of Career Mode heritage.
The forward will likely cost you around £20 million, making him affordable for almost all top-flight clubs in the game.
Benjamin Sesko (75 OVR 85 POT)
After a move to RB Leipzig, Benjamin Sesko is the next big player to come from RB Salzburg squad!
Making the move to Germany this year, Sesko has joined a promising young Leipzig side who will be looking to knock Bayern Munich off their perch.
Standing at six foot four inches, the Slovenian attacker is a huge presence up top and could be a fantastic aerial option for your Career Mode save.
Having just moved to his new club, it's unlikely you'll be able to pick up the ST straight away. However, a move would likely cost around £10-£15 million.
Evan Ferguson (74 OVR 86 POT)
Relatively unknown to Premier League fans until last season, Evan Ferguson has emerged as one of the best young strikers in the world.
The 18-year-old already has several Premier League goals to his name, and now that Brighton has European football for the first time in their history, the Irishman could be a key part of their future success.
Another towering presence in the box, at six feet and two inches, Ferguson has been linked with a move to Tottenham to replace Harry Kane.
He will only cost you around £10 million in EA Sports FC 24, so he is attainable for almost every save.
