Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio Reboots are in Development

Sega has a repertoire of huge games behind them that haven't been seen in quite some time. This leaves ample room to explore them. If recent news is right, we may just get that. Here's what we know about the Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi reboot so far.

Jet Set Radio Reboot

In a recent report over at Bloomberg, they shared that Sega is set to reboot its iconic franchise Jet Set Radio. With the likes of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk gaining so much hype, it makes sense for a reboot to reinvigorate the genre.

This is done as part of Sega's Super Game Initiative, an effort to secure more long term revenue through games that can be played over a long time. This has apparently been done to chase the success of games like Fortnite.

It is unsure how far into development this is but it seems like it could still be fairly early. We may not see this for another year or so.

Crazy Taxi Reboot

The Crazy Taxi Reboot, on the other hand, has seemingly been in development a little longer. In the Bloomberg report, it said:

The new Crazy Taxi has already been in development for over a year and the Tokyo-based entertainment group aims to release it within two to three years, the people said, asking not to be named as the information is not yet public

Although not yet defined, this puts a much clearer timeline for Crazy Taxi. We'll hopefully see more reboots over the coming years. This dedication to long form revenue could hit at some sort of service you subscribe to, in order to get the latest games. This is purely conjecture at this point though. If anything changes, we'll update you right here
