While College Football 25 had its flaws, it's the best football game released in a very long time. The game struck the perfect balance between arcade and realistic gameplay, delivering an immersing and enjoyable gaming experience.
So, it's only natural that fans are excited about College Football 26, as they hope the game can build on its predecessor's success and deliver one of the best sports games ever.
College Football 26 Release Date
There is stil no official release date for College Football 26. However, taking into account the previous edition's launch date, we expect College Football 26 to be released in mid to late July.
College Football 25 was released on the 19th of July. If I were to bet on it, I would put my chips on the 22nd of July. I don't think the game will be released later than that, as Madden 26 is expected to release in August.
College Football 26 Cover Star
The cover star is always an important aspect of a sports game. It's already hard to choose one for most sports games, but it's especially hard for College Football titles, as every year plenty of College Football superstars leave for the NFL.
But this year there is a clear candidate to grace the College Football 26 cover. It's none other than Texas Longhorns quarterback, Arch Manning. Manning is incredibly popular, will be the face of one of the best teams in the country, is very talented, and has the Manning name.
There are other names among the favourite lists, such as Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, Drew Allar, and Jeremiyah Love.
College Football 26 Editions & Platforms
Little is yet known about the College Football 26 Editions. We expect the game to have two editions, Standard and Deluxe, similar to last year. It's also likely the special MVP Bundle, which included both College Football and Madden games, as well as other perks, will come back.
When it comes to platforms, the game will most likely only be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Last year, the title wasn't available for old-gen, and we don't see a reason for EA Sports to introduce an old-gen version now.
The title may be introduced to PC, which would be fantastic news. There is a huge player base on PC and they would certainly be delighted with the chance to play College Football 26 on their favourite platform.
