Brighton and Hove Albion: 5 reasons why the Seagulls have soared to safety

Try, try, try again was the Brighton and Hove Albion mantra for the years preceding their promotion to the Premier League. 

With heartbreaks and near misses all too frequent, the Seagulls finally took their perch on England’s top football table this season with Chris Hughton leading their charge; the season that has followed has been remarkable.

Sitting in fourteenth position with an away trip to Anfield left, Brighton have secured their Premier League status for a second season. 

The words 'second season' are often followed by 'syndrome' when assessing newly promoted teams ambitions. 

However, with all newly promoted sides from the 2016/17 season avoiding the drop this campaign, the focus won't be directly on the Seagulls as we look towards August already.

So… what has been the secret to their success this season?
