Both Manchester United and PSG have made some huge signings this summer and will be forces to be reckoned with in FIFA 22.
There is always a favourite team in each edition of the game, and we think FIFA 22’s top two will be one of these giants.
Who comes out on top though? Let’s take a closer look.
FIFA 22
The release date for EA's upcoming title has finally been revealed!
After months of speculation, EA has officially announced that FIFA 22 will be released on Friday, 1 October 2021.
Pre orders are now available too with up to four days of early access on offer.
New signings
PSG have made the most of the summer transfer window so far with four high-profile signings already.
Sergio Ramos is arguably the biggest of the lot, with Georginio Wijnaldum also arriving to add mobility to the midfield.
PSG has also brought in Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma, two of Serie A's hottest talents.
Manchester United are not to be outdone though and have finally announced the official signing of England star Jadon Sancho.
Sancho brings yet more quality to an already awesome frontline that boasts Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, and Mason Greenwood.
Raphael Varane is also rumoured to be moving to Old Trafford, and we all know how good he is on FIFA! All these stars could feature as Ones to Watch in FUT 22 too.
Perfect pace
Pace is one of the most important attributes in FIFA whether you like it or not.
Both teams boast plenty of it, and at both ends of the pitch too!
PSG's front line is slightly stronger with cover star Kylian Mbappe and Neymar being two of the best players in the game.
Former United winger Di Maria also adds pace and trickery in a front three that will frighten any defence.
However, United's attack consists of raw pace with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Jadon Sancho, with Dan James and Mason Greenwood available off the bench.
With Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba pulling the strings, there should be plenty of chances for the forwards.
Midfield masters
This is arguably the most difficult area on the pitch to separate the two teams, but for completely different reasons.
Wijnaldum will add much-needed mobility to PSG's midfield, and a pairing with classy baller Marco Verratti could be sensational...
However, physically this pair could be outmuscled, especially against players such as Paul Pogba and dare I say it... Scott McTominay.
United's midfield with Pogba, Fernandes and either McTominay or Fred is solid but not spectacular.
If the rumours are to be believed though, United are far from done in the transfer window.
Both Leon Goretzka and Declan Rice are said to be on United's wishlist, and just one of them could complete an epic midfield.
Defensive titans
As referenced earlier, both teams have mobile defences which are highly sought after in FIFA.
If United do seal the transfer of Varane, they will be picking up one of the best defenders in the game.
While a pairing with Harry Maguire may look good on paper, Maguire is not the stereotypical FIFA defender.
However, full-backs Luke Shaw (or Alex Telles) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are very good options.
Flip it to the PSG side, and it looks like three at the back could be the order of the day with Ramos, Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos.
All three are quality and mobile centre-backs, while Hakimi and Juan Bernat and classy wing-backs.
Outcome?
It's tough, but we are going for PSG.
It is the Mbappe/Neymar factor that does it for us, and their defence cannot be overlooked either!
