How to Get Battlefield 2042 Early Access

Games never seem to come out on launch day anymore. Early access is something more and more publishers are pushing, and Battlefield 2042 is next in line. If you're excited to jump into the action, here's everything you need to know about how to get Battlefield 2042 early access.

Thankfully, there's a few ways to get early access to Battlefield 2042, and we'll run through them for you down below:

Gold & Ultimate Editions Battlefield 2042 Early Access

The first and most reliable way of getting early access to EA and DICE's game is to purchase one of the two special editions.

Both the Gold and Ultimate Editions grant 7 days early access to Battlefield 2042, starting on November 12. The full game then releases on November 19. Below is what pre order bonuses are included in each version:

Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition

  • Cross-gen bundle
  • 7 days early access
  • Year 1 Pass
  • Pre-order pack

Ultimate Edition

  • Cross-gen bundle
  • 7 days early access
  • Year 1 Pass
  • Pre-order pack
  • Midnight Ultimate bundle
  • Official digital artbook
  • Exclusive digital soundtrack

Buying either version of the game will grant you the early access you're after, and you'll be able to preload it now, so that you can jump in as soon as release time rolls around on the 12th.

Xbox Game Pass & EA Play

The other option you have is to play Battlefield 2042 via EA Play and Xbox Game Pass.

While the full game will not be included in the service, a 10 hour trial will be available from November 12, allowing you to jump in at the same time as those players who pick up the Gold or Ultimate Editions.

Once the 10 hour trial is over, however, you'll need to buy the full game to keep playing as the full game probably won't come to EA Play until 2022.
