Nike SNKRS has revealed a new "Light Ginger" Air Jordan 14 colourway as a throwback to the OG "Ginger" 14s released in 1999.
Before the model made its notable comeback in 2005 with the debut of the "Graphite Chartreuse" and the "White Chartreuse" colourways, the OG "Ginger" 14s were actually one of the last in the Jordan 14 line to be released during the OG era.
Now, over 30 years later, Nike is reissuing one of the most iconic Jordan 14 colourways of all time to celebrate the final signature model His Airness wore on the court during his Chicago Bulls run.
With that in mind, here's everything we know about the reimagined "Light Ginger" Air Jordan 14s so far...
Air Jordan 14 Light Ginger Release Date
Nike SNKRS has confirmed that the "Light Ginger" 14s are available now as of 17 August 2022 in the US in adult sizing.
The sneakers don't appear to have debuted in smaller kids' sizes just yet, although this may change as we move past their initial release. Stay tuned for further information right here once Nike reveals more details.
Air Jordan 14 Light Ginger Design
As touched on, the "Light Ginger" 14s are a reissue of the OG "Ginger" 14s from 1999, therefore, the design has been kept almost identical to the originals.
For instance, the uppers arrive in the same ginger and white leather as seen in the '90s, with white dressing the mudguards and toe boxes whilst the side panels arrive in ginger.
Black then accents the tongues, laces, outsoles, and heels, with the latter also featuring white Jumpman logos placed above Michael Jordan's iconic #23 number which features on one of the best NBA jerseys of all time.
The Jumpman logo can also be found on the insoles and on the mudguards, whilst simple 'Jordan' branding can be found in yellow at the top of the tongues.
Underneath the sneakers, you'll find the number 'XIV" in reference to the model number inside a small ginger circle placed towards the front of the shoes to round off this retro design.
Air Jordan 14 Light Ginger Price
The "Light Ginger" 14s are currently listed for $210 in adult sizing.
This is a significant increase in the original retail price of the OG "Ginger" 14s from 1999, although this was to be expected given the reissued design is set to launch over 30 years later.
