Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best football players of all time, was recently named the greatest Premier League forward of all time by Sky Sports' supercomputer.

The supercomputer considered his 2006-2009 tenure at Manchester United, during which the Portuguese legend established himself as a world-class player.

So, we thought it would be a good idea to examine Ronaldo's 2009 EA FC card, compare it to his other cards in the game, and see how his card has changed over the years.

Cristiano Ronaldo's 2009 Card Is Great

As you might have suspected, Cristiano Ronaldo's 2009 EA FC card, or FIFA as it was called at the time, is incredible. It's a card every professional player would love to have one day, as it possesses spectacular attributes, with 94 pace, 98 shooting, 93 dribbling, and 89 heading, with an 89 OVR.

However, apart from his two cards since joining the Saudia Arabian side of Al-Nassr, this is Ronaldo's weakest Ultimate Team card, at least in terms of rating.

Ronaldo's Cards Evolution Throughout The Years

In 2010, his card took a huge leap, going from 89 OVR to 93 OVR, but curiously, all of his attributes decreased. This was most likely done to many other cards, intending to balance them.

However, this trend didn't stop, as Ronaldo's 2011 card is better than his 2010 version if we look at the attributes carefully. It's faster and has better heading and shooting despite dropping to an 89 OVR.

This happened because new attributes, such as balance, agility, and curve, were added to the game, forcing EA to change how they rated their cards.

You can argue that Cristiano Ronaldo's 2011 EA FC card is his best. Future cards never had this much pace. His dribbling is the highest he ever got, for standard cards, of course, and his shooting is only three rates below his highest.

From 2012 to 2021, Ronaldo's cards never dropped below a 92 OVR. His highest rating so far was 94 OVR, which he had in FIFA 17, 18, and 19. This showcases just how dominant CR7 was during that period, as he collected plenty of individual and team awards and broke record after record.

Ronaldo's decline in the EA FC franchise started in FIFA 22 when he returned to the theatre of dreams and saw his rating drop below 92 OVR for the first time in nine years.

His rating dropped to 90 OVR the following year, and in EA FC 24, Ronaldo got his lowest rating since Ultimate Team existed: 86 OVR. This is Ronaldo's current rating in EA FC 25, and it may decline in future franchise installments.

Cristiano Ronaldo has left his name in the football history books on the real and virtual pitch. He impacted a generation of football and video game fans, and it's fair to say that all of the CR7 cards are special.
