Despite FIFA 21 still having plenty of life left in it, with the Team of the Season (TOTS) promo in full swing, we're taking a look at EA's next title.
So, check out what FIFA 22 will have to offer on the PlayStation 5 below.
Latest - FIFA 22 Release Date
Unsurprisingly there has been no word on when FIFA 22 will officially be released, but we can have a pretty accurate guess.
FIFA 22 will likely be released between Friday, 24 September and Friday, 8 October, 2021, judging by the release in previous years.
Is FIFA 22 on PS5 better?
FIFA 22 will definitely be coming to PS5, so we take a look at the changes which EA could make to the football sim on Next-Gen consoles.
FIFA 22 on PlayStation 5 could bring a wider scope of player likenesses in-game.
This would see a greater share of players add their likenesses to FIFA 22 - not just the very best players, but a larger selection of recognisable players from more modest clubs would be a welcome addition for supporters of them.
A full defensive overhaul could be on the cards for FIFA 22 on PS5.
The improvements to attacking in FIFA 21 greatly overshadowed the stale defending mechanics, which often led to unbalanced matches.
FIFA 22 on PS5 will hopefully bring balance between attacking and defensive mechanisms which will result in more balanced gameplay.
Can PS4 and PS5 users play together on FIFA 22?
With the official release for FIFA 22 not yet confirmed, we can only speculate whether PS4 and PS5 users will be able to play EA's next title together.
When playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21, players are able to match up and play each other regardless of whether or not they are playing it on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.
This indicates that EA is trying their best to accommodate PlayStation 4 users, which will hopefully mean that PS4 players will be able to link up and play their PS5 friends online on FIFA 22.
