WWE 2K22 MyRISE: All new Career Mode story and experience

If you had a chance to play WWE 2K20 MyCAREER, it would be completely reasonable to have some reservations before diving into WWE 2K22 MyRISE.

The new revamped story mode has more than just a fresh name this year, as branching dialogue choices and side stories provide a much more complete experience.

While play time can vary, the average length of MyRISE is about 25 hours each for the Men's MyRISE and Women's MyRISE campaigns for a total of about 50 hours of content.

That can be more or less depending on how thorough you choose to be, as there are many side stories and challenge matches which are useful but not required to progress the main story.

You'll be able to take your created superstar through the Performance Center and on to NXT, Raw, and SmackDown all in a single WWE 2K22 MyRISE playthrough.

On top of that, the stories are not intertwined and connected like they were in WWE 2K20, as the MyRISE story you experience for the Men's and Women's campaigns will be completely independent of each other.

Even if you run into a story where the writing is a bit too cheesy for your tastes, WWE 2K22 MyRISE is deep enough that there should be something for everyone if you keep playing.

MyRISE Review steals the show

While a lot of the focus heading into the launch of WWE 2K22 was on MyGM, it turns out the subtle star of the game may end up being MyRISE.

After spending more time playing through the mode and experiencing many of the stories available in both the Men's and Women's versions of the single player campaign, we took some time to break down what makes it shine.

Background and Class will change your MyRISE experience

When you dive into MyRISE, your first big step will be creating your character. Unfortunately, there's no option to import a created superstar into MyRISE or export one for use in other game modes, so just keep that in mind going in.

You'll have the option to choose a Background which gives some stat boosts but will also impact the dialogue options you'll have, some storylines, and how certain characters will react to you in WWE 2K22 MyRISE.

Your class will have more of an impact on the in-ring action itself, but most of those early decisions as you first get rolling will continue to affect the full story mode.

Once everything's rolling, you'll work progress through storylines either by interacting with characters in one of a few locations or over the in-game social media feature.

Over time, you'll be able to earn upgrade points to improve your character and put you closer to a level playing field as you move on to more powerful opponents.
