It's finally here! The April 2021 PS Plus announcement has confirmed what the recent leaks claimed and the new games have been revealed.
LATEST - PS Plus Announcement
PlayStation has once-again outdone themselves with their April 2021 PS Plus line-up.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is the PS5-exclusive PS Plus game this month with Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War joining it to round out another strong month of games.
" Lead Mudokons to freedom in Oddworld: Soulstorm. Devise techniques to survive Freaker hordes in Days Gone. Gear up and give zombies hell with your squad in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. The stakes are high whatever adventure you choose to play first."

All three games will be available from April 6th until May 3rd for anyone with an active PS Plus membership!
New Zombie-Based Leaks
Someone on the German-Language HotUKDeals has suggested that both Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War are going to be added to PS Plus in April. They are an active member for the French-Language version of the site so they are allegedly a good source for information.
They haven't shared their source, according to the post, so take this with a little more than a grain of salt.

However, if it is true, it could make this month one of the biggest yet with Oddworld: Soulstorm and the possibility that Civilization VI is on the way.
Can it get any better for PlayStation players?
Is Civ VI Coming?
We already know that Oddworld: Soulstorm is joining PS Plus in April 2021, but could Sid Meier's Civilization VI be on the way too?
An eagle-eyed Redditor has spotted an update on PlayStation's Japanese storefront that might suggest that the strategy title is on the way to the April 2021 PS Plus line-up!
That being said, reports are showing that a "free to play" weekend is allegedly due to drop for Civ VI in the next 30 days so could this just be an early announcement for that?

Either way, if you're looking to give Civ VI a go for free you might be in luck soon.
April 2021 PS Plus Reveal This Week?
Sony is likely to announce the April 2021 PS Plus games early this week. With them due to release on April 6, the announcement should come today or tomorrow, around March 30.
Last month's reveal was strange, due to the announcements being kept back for the State of Play presentation, but it'll likely return to normal this month.
Unless they decide to drop another surprise presentation, we're looking at an announcement at around 16:30 GMT / 11:30 ET on March 30, 2021.

It is usually on the last Wednesday of every month and this month conveniently ends on a Wednesday!
Play At Home Games
The PS Plus lineup isn't going to be the only way to get free games in April 2021.
Sony's Play At Home Initiative is back and it's bringing a whole load of great games to everyone on PlayStation.
Below, we've got a list of what's in store on top of the PS Plus games for April 2021.
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Abzu
- Enter the Gungeon
- Rez Infinite
- Subnautica
- The Witness
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission (PSVR)
- Moss (PSVR)
- Thumper (PSVR)
- Paper Beast (PSVR)
All of the games will be available from March 28th, with Horizon Zero Dawn being added from April 19th.
When Will They Be Available?
This month, PlayStation is going to be releasing the PS Plus titles a little later than usual to line-up with their planned launch date for Oddworld: Soulstorm.
That means that we should see them go live around a week after the reveal. Mark April 6th, 2021, in your calendars!
This isn't confirmed, so they could go live a little earlier but with how the dates and weekdays line up together, it seems like this is the most-probable date that these PS Plus titles will be added to the service.
FIRST FREE GAME: Oddworld Soulstorm
During Sony's State of Play event, which caused the delay to the PS Plus announcement for March 2021, it was revealed that Oddworld: Soulstorm was going to be the first free title for PS Plus subscribers in April 2021.
This is the latest instalment in the series from Oddworld Inhabitants and it marks the first time the title is being released exclusively on next-gen consoles.
With Oddworld: Soulstorm being the latest PS Plus title to be launched via the service, it joins some pretty decent ranks.
Fall Guys, Bugsnax, Worms Rumble, and Destruction AllStars were all titles that have been added to PS Plus on launch as free titles. We admit some of them are performing better than others but it's undeniable that each of these games has benefitted from the service.
With this being said, it's worth noting that only the PS5 version of Oddworld: Soulstorm will be free on PS Plus in April 2021. The PS4 version is not being added to the service from what we know so far. PS4 users can still claim it though and add it to their library for the future.
Sadly, if you want to play it on PS4 when it launches... You're going to have to buy it.
Other Free Games - PREDICTIONS
At the moment, we don't know anything else about what's in store for PS Plus subscribers in April 2021.
Well... Officially, anyway. There are a few rumours circulating that could prove to be true come the end of the month!

With MLB The Show 2021 just around the corner, we could see MLB The Show 20 be added to PS Plus as a free game in April 2021.
There aren't many actual sports games added to the service and if you're a fan of sports games you might feel a little hard done by, right? Well, PS Plus is ever the inclusive beast and we doubt that we'll go another month without a sports title.

In addition to all this... MLB The Show 20 is leaving Xbox's Game Pass pretty soon. What better way to tempt fans from Xbox back to their PlayStations, right?
Next up, we believe that The Witcher III could be making an appearance on the PS Plus April 2021 line-up at the end of March.
There are a lot of next-gen upgrades being worked on and everyone is talking about GTA V's Enhanced Edition, but what about CDPR's Witcher III?
We know a next-gen version is on the way and this could be the perfect start to repairing the damaged relationship between CDPR and PlayStation after they removed Cyberpunk from the PS store.
In addition to this, when you consider the fact that the FF7 Remake was launched this month and has its Next-Gen upgrade coming in July... Why not try the same trick again?

Geralt's adventures on Netflix are also continuing into a second season so the timing of any announcements could be perfect for the two. Just saying.
Destruction AllStars Replacement Game
Destruction AllStars will no longer be free to PS5 players as of April 6.
It's been an additional free game for two months now, so many it's time for a big replacement.
Maybe another upcoming new release - potential one that hasn't been announced yet - will take on the spot in the April 2021 PS Plus lineup.
March 2021 PS Plus Games
This month, in the lead up to April 2021's PS Plus games, Playstation players have a lot to look forward too.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 1 is the headliner of the lot, but there are a couple of other games worth playing too!
Maquette, an adorable puzzler that stars Bryce Dallas Howard and her husband, is March 2021's free PS5 title.
It is then joined by the Souls-like Remnant: From The Ashes and the PSVR title Farpoint.

These are all going to be available until April 5th, 2021.
EXTRA GAME - Destruction AllStars
Throughout March, PS Plus players will still be able to download Destruction AllStars until the start of April 2021.

This title is a hero-based vehicular combat game with a few twists that make it a fantastic addition to your Game Library.
Destruction AllStars is PS5 exclusive. And while PS4 owners can still add it to their library from PS Plus, it won't be playable until it's played on the PlayStation 5.
