We are buzzing about FIFA 22 Career Mode.
Create-a-Club has been confirmed, allowing you to build the perfect club and take them on the journey you desire.
That said, it looks as if there will be other elements arriving, following more leaks ahead of release.
Story Mode x Career Mode
Following three years of The Journey, a Story Mode continued in the FIFA titles over the last two years in Volta Football - but what about for FIFA 22?
Well, it looks like that Story Mode could be arriving in Career Mode.
This leak has come from @FUTZONECENTRAL, and perhaps would work in the same way that the Press Conferences and post-match interviews work currently, giving you options to speak to your players before the big game.
This has been a feature in the Pro Evo franchise since PES 2019's Master League, which has been immensely popular with fans.
Master League marries a Manager Mode and Story Mode perfectly, with "chapters" coming along in your journey, usually focused on derby fixtures, cup runs and European glory.
What else do we know?
Create-a-Club in FIFA 22 Career Mode is the biggest story so far.
It looks as if you can build your side from scratch, perhaps pick your starting league, and you will be able to create your own stadium - much like in Ultimate Team in recent years.
It remains to be seen where you will get your players from, perhaps they will be newgens - or will you have to just clean up the free agent market?
The official FIFA 22 page on the EA website reads:
"Live out your football dreams in FIFA 22 Career Mode as you create a club and lead them from relegation candidates to global giants, and enjoy an overhauled Player Career experience that gives you more ways to progress, achieve, and immerse yourself in your Pro’s journey through the game. "
If the cut-scenes and story element arrive in Player Career as well, this could be the best Career Mode we've seen in years.
FIFA 22 at a glance
Gameplay is overhauled - especially on Next Gen platforms thanks to HyperMotion - making this year's game more realistic than ever.
Volta Football "returns with more flair all over the pitch and new ways to express your style and connect with your squad in street football playgrounds all over the world".
As for Ultimate Team, Division Rivals and FUT Champions are being overhauled, with even more customisation on the way, and the arrival of FUT Heroes.
Lastly, more customisation options arrive in Pro Clubs, a new player growth system, as well a "streamlined social play".
FIFA 22 arrives on Friday, 1 October, and you can find all the pre-order options right here.
