FIFA 23 will be released soon, and it won't be long until we get our first look at some of the brand-new ratings for each team.
Check below to see our predictions for how Leeds United could look in this year's game, with the ratings being used throughout the Ultimate Team season and at the start of Career Mode.
Top Players
Leeds just managed to escape the drop in the last Premier League season, and under new management, they will be looking to become top-flight regulars.
Despite selling their two best players, United look to have done some decent business in the transfer market, and we predict their three highest-rated players on FIFA 23 will be:
Luis Sinisterra (OVR 79)
One of the new arrivals, Luis Sinisterra had a great campaign for Feyenoord last season, scoring 23 and assisting 14 in 49 games.
That saw his rating on FIFA 22 rise from 75 OVR to 79 OVR, which is where we think it will stay for the start of FIFA 23.
Rodrigo (OVR 78)
Rodrigo had a disappointing return of six goals last season which saw his rating drop from 79 OVR to 78 OVR, so expect to see that given to him at the start of the game.
In his first couple of matches this campaign he has bagged three goals, and if that form continues then he will regain his previous rating in no time, and might even venture into the 80s.
Patrick Bamford (OVR 78)
Due to injury, Patrick Bamford wasn't able to push on from his brilliant 2020/21 season and was on the sidelines for nearly the entirety of the campaign.
We will have to see how he settles back into the side, but are predicting another 78 OVR for him in FIFA 23.
Transfers
After selling two of their top players, Leeds has invested the money reinforcing all over the pitch.
Four of their new signings have started both matches of the Premier League season, and it will only be a matter of time before Sinisterra becomes a regular starter for the side too.
New Signings:
- Luis Sinisterra (OVR 79)
- Rasmus Kristensen (OVR 77)
- Tyler Adamas (OVR 76)
- Marc Roca (OVR 76)
- Joel Robles (OVR 76)
- Brenden Aaronson (OVR 73)
- Darko Gyabi (OVR ??)
Departures:
- Raphinha (OVR 83)
- Kalvin Phillips (OVR 81)
- Kiko Casilla (OVR 74)
- Laurens De Bock (OVR 66)
- Leif Davis (OVR 65)
- Liam McCarron (OVR 60)
Rumours:
- Ismaila Sarr (OVR 77)
Upgrades
After their relegation scare, we don't see many of the Leeds players getting an upgrade.
Most of their new signings will arrive following good form and will have higher ratings compared to what they started with in FIFA 22, and youngster Joe Gelhardt should also get a decent boost after getting some first-team action.
Notable Upgrades:
- Luis Sinisterra (75 OVR → 79 OVR)
- Rasmus Kristensen (75 OVR → 77 OVR)
- Kiko Casilla (72 OVR → 74 OVR)
- Brenden Aaronson (70 OVR → 73 OVR)
- Joe Gelhardt (66 OVR → 71 OVR)
Downgrades
We've already mentioned Rodrigo probably being downgraded, but the biggest hit to the squad will likely come to Junior Firpo.
There were big expectations for him after arriving from Barcelona, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to match them and saw his rating drop from 78 OVR to 75 OVR in updates throughout the season.
Notable Downgrades:
- Rodrigo (79 OVR → 78 OVR)
- Jack Harrison (78 OVR → 77 OVR)
- Tyler Adams (77 OVR → 76 OVR)
- Junior Firpo (78 OVR → 75 OVR)
