FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has reached the halfway point in Icon Swaps 1, with Set 1 rotating out for Set 2.
This has brought more objectives to complete, with nine more tokens to gain, helping you work towards getting the best rewards from your swaps.
To help complete the objectives in the quickest way possible we have made this easy guide showing all the squad combinations to combine multiple objectives, with suggested XI's to use that will give you the best chance against the computer.
Icon Swaps 1: Set 2 is here!
Icon Swaps 1: Set 2 was introduced as soon as Set 1 came to an end, being released on Monday, 10 January 2021.
The new objectives were released at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on the day of release.
There are nine more tokens that you can add to your collection, making a total of 18 that you can use in SBCs.
What are Icon Swaps?
First off, let's give a quick rundown of what the Icon Swaps are and why you need to complete them.
By completing these Icon Swaps objectives you will gain the reward of a card that acts as a token.
If you check the Squad Building Challenges hub, you will notice there are Icon Swaps in there, where you redeem your tokens to gain rewards.
These rewards vary from packs full of higher-rated players, packs containing random Icon cards or Icon picks, or just a straight swap for a specific Icon.
These objectives let you bring in some of the best cards in the game, without having to spend masses of coins to do so, and rewards players completing objectives, not just competing against each other.
Icon Swaps Leagues
Unfortunately, you cannot combine any of the objectives for the Icon Swaps Ligue 1, Icon Swaps Bundesliga, or Icon Swaps PL objectives.
This is because you need to play in the Live FUT Friendly: One League, which doesn't even let you include additional leagues on the bench.
With many more people playing to the Golden Goal rule now Icon Swaps are out, you should be able to complete these objectives with minimum fuss.
Icon Swaps Combination Squads
EA has again made it so there is a limited selection of league and nationality combinations, as you are unable to field a full squad of Italians that also play in the Championship or Liga Portugal.
That means there are only three ways to complete the objectives, playing a minimum of 18 Squad Battles matches.
So long as one of your teams is also made up of 11 first owned players, the combinations are:
- Silver/Championship + Liga Portugal + Italian
- Silver/Liga Portugal + Championship + Italian
- SilverItalian + Championship + Liga Portugal
The choice you go for will depend on what first owned players you have in your club, who will either be all Italian or play in the Championship or Liga Portugal.
Given we have had Milestones objectives and SBCs that could get you many first owned and top quality Championship and Liga Portugal players, we recommend making one of those leagues your first owned combination.
You may get lucky and find you can triple up on a combination (such as Silver/Italian/First Owned), but this won't reduce the number of games you have to play, so doesn't make a difference unless you don't plan on going for all the Icon Swaps.
Then it's up to you to win 13 FUT Champions matches in as little time as possible.
If you are wary to attempt the FUT Champions objective - don't be!
Qualifying matches will count towards the total, and with Weekend League the easiest it's been in years, getting to 13 wins is definitely achievable for all abilities of players.
