Spider-Man Miles Morales: New trailer hints at archvillain

The days are ticking by to the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

More and more info is starting to land about the game, with everything from minor characters to cute cats getting revealed.

The latest trailer shows off the relationship between the two Spider-Men now in the game, and perhaps the overall villain of the story.

Trailer texts

Dropped on the PlayStation twitter feed with the byline "There's no 'right way' to be a hero", the trailer shows off a text conversation between Peter Parker, the protagonist of the 2018 game, and Miles Morales.

It looks like Peter is taking up the mentor role (which always ends well...) to Miles and show him the ropes to heroing in NYC.

LOOKIN' OUT FOR YA: Peter is taking Miles under his web for this new adventure

The two catch up on things as it looks like Peter is out of town with MJ doing interviews.

After discussing how to balance the dual-life of a superhero, things get down to a more serious business.

Roxxon the ultimate villain?

The two discuss Roxxon building a public plaza in Harlem, but one that requires 24/7 armed guards.

It sounds like Peter is a little suspicious, and Miles is too.

DON'T LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT: Armed guards are usually not Spider-friendly

Armed guards are usually good fodder for battles, so we expect to be scrapping with them before too long once the game arrives.

Peter also likens them to Oscorp, which suggests Roxxon could be more than just a small annoyance in the game.

Whether they will be the ultimate villain of the game or not remains to be seen, but it's certainly an interesting note for the story!

Spider-Man Miles Morales release date

The new game swings into stores on 15 November. Which is after the first wave of PS5's are released to North America and a few other regions.

The rest of us will have to wait until 19 November, when the PS5 releases globally.

Of course, you can still get Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS4, but a next-gen game deserves the next-gen console!
