With WWE 2K22 roster news continuing to roll in and reveals on the horizon, we're now getting a new report about potential additions even after launch.
Two legends are reportedly being targeted for a possible WWE 2K22 DLC pack, and we've got all the details on them here.
WWE 2K22 Roster: Two legends to feature in first DLC pack per new report
WWE 2K22 is just a few short weeks away now, but we're still getting more news as the full roster and ratings continue to be revealed.
While we've learned of a handful of names for the WWE 2K22 Legends Roster already, there is already a new report about a potential DLC featuring even more superstars.
According to a new report by Mike Straw of SGO, who has been spot on with previous WWE 2K22 reporting in recent months, the first of five DLC packs for the game will include two legendary superstars who made their mark in the mid-2000s.
The two that are expected to be part of the post-launch DLC packs are Umaga and The Boogeyman, both of whom were key parts of the roster back when the SmackDown vs. Raw games were released in the late 2000s.
The report went on to mention a third possible name being Carlito, but that stated that name is unconfirmed and they couldn't definitively report on him.
The Boogeyman & Umaga haven't been in the games for more than a decade
While all of yearly WWE games have included various legends and superstars of the past, this would be the first appearances for both potential names in quite some time.
While Umaga made an indelible mark on WWE for several years, he was released in 2009 and sadly passed away late that year. He was last featured in SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.
While it's been some time since The Boogeyman was part of a core game roster, he has popped up in a few other WWE games in the last few years.
While he last appeared in the core series on the SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 roster, The Boogeyman was added to the mobile games WWE SuperCard and WWE Champions, and he was also included in a DLC for WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
These all lined up with a few sporadic appearance with WWE in the last several years, potentially signaling he's signed one of their legends contracts.
The Boogeyman appeared on a few episodes of Raw in 2018, 2019, and most recently in 2021 as part of a Raw Legends Night special episode.
We don't yet know which of the reportedly planned DLC packs will include these two legends, but we won't have to wait too much longer to get the full WWE 2K22 roster reveal.
