World Cup Icons Explained
World Cup Icons are a new card type and are part of the change brought to Icon cards in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
Icon Moments have been replaced by Campaign Icons, which will occur throughout the season and be included as part of certain promos - much like we saw with FUT Heroes and the FUT Captains and Shapeshifters events in FUT 22.
The World Cup Icons will be released as Swaps rewards, via their own SBCs, and also in packs.
WC Icons will first be introduced to packs on Friday, 25 November, following on from the WC FUT Heroes coming to packs in Team 1 and Team 2 during the Path to Glory promo.
They will replace their Base and Mid version while in packs and will appear in all packs including Upgrade SBCs and WC Swaps Rewards!
EA has also said that Campaign Icons that are available in packs may have that version released in a future SBC, at least two months after they were first made available.
Team 3 of the World Cup Icons has been released in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, taking over from Team 2!
It is an improvement from Team 2, but still not as good as Team 1, although Garrincha (OVR 93) and Lothar Matthaus (OVR 92) are both excellent cards.

Every single leak we've seen for World Cup Icon cards has now come in-game, so unless EA has a surprise in store, we don't expect to see any additional players.
If we do spy any more leaked cards this section will be updated.
