Check below to find out about this brand new FIFA 23 downgrade.
Icon > Hero
It's not good news for Jay-Jay Okocha, as he becomes the first very Legend to be downgraded in FIFA 23.
This never before seen downgrade has caused some confusion amongst fans, with the former Bolton trickster usually presented as an Icon in FIFA.
There had been rumours that some Icons would be downgraded Heroes, and we now have official confirmation that this will be the case in FIFA 23.
Okocha isn't alone, as Japanese superstar Hidetoshi Nakata has also been downgraded to a FUT Hero.
With two slots available to be filled in the Icon roster, it may not be long before we have some brand new Legends announced ahead of FIFA 23.
What are FUT Heroes?
FUT Heroes are similar to Icons, although slightly inferior, as they would not have a green link with all for greater chemistry.
They are like minor Icons, with decent stats, but a notch below the best cards in the game.
On top of that, FUT Heroes have unique league-specific chemistry tied to their hero moment, which allows a green Club link to any player within the same league, on top of the usual nation link.
