FIFA 22 is one of the best versions of the game we have ever seen, smashing user and engagement records in its first month.
The new game also brought with it four brand-new Icons and 19 new FUT Heroes which are available to use in the game.
Take a look at the legends that are available in FUT 22 below.
Latest news - Maradona set for removal
EA was at the centre of a legal dispute over the trademark rights for Diego Maradona recently, and that saga has resurfaced once again.
According to the reliable FutSheriff on Twitter, EA will suspend Maradona's items from FIFA 22 following a “third party legal dispute'.
All three of his ICON cards will be removed from Packs, Squad Building Challenges, and Drafts if this is true.
If, however, Maradona is already part of your club, you should be able to continue using him.
We do not yet know whether this change will be permanent or just happen on a temporary basis, but we expect it to happen soon.
Class of '22
There are four brand-new Icons available in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with England's Wayne Rooney arguably the most exciting of the lot.
His former Manchester United teammate Robin van Persie has also joined the ranks.
Iker Casillas and Cafu are the two other legends in the game, and both are great players to have on the roster!
Cafu has joined fellow Brazilian Carlos Alberto as the best right-back currently available in the game.
Cafu (88 - 90 - 93)
Quite frankly one of the best right-backs of all time, we are surprised it took this long for Cafu to feature in the game.
Cafu's 88 OVR card currently costs around 550,000 coins in FUT 22, while his 90 OVR will cost closer to 900,000!
Iker Casillas (87 - 89 - 92)
Incredible GK Reflexes are the pick of Iker Casillas' stats in FUT 22, so he will be fantastic in one on one situations.
One of the more affordable Icons, you can add the base version of Casillas to your club for less than 300,000 coins.
Robin van Persie (87 - 89 - 91)
A true goal machine, Robin van Persie scored 30 goals in a Premier League season before making the switch from Arsenal to Manchester United.
RVP's base Icon is actually more expensive than his 89 OVR card, but both will cost you a hefty fee!
Wayne Rooney (86 - 88 - 91)
What a player Wayne Rooney was. Rooney was arguably at his best earlier on in his career, which is reflected in his base card.
All his cards cost at least 1 million coins, so you best get saving.
Who's missing?
It is unlikely that EA will add any further Icons into the game mid-season, although we did see David Beckham arrive last in FIFA 21.
There are some players we would love to see join the Icon ranks though, and fingers crossed we get them soon.
Spanish stars Andres Iniesta, David, Villa, and Xabi Alonso would all be great additions, although we will need to wait for Iniesta to call time on his playing career first!
Man City legend Vincent Kompany would also be a great addition to the game, and he would be a beast!
All new FUT Heroes
EA has introduced the FUT Heroes to Ultimate Team for the very first time and they are in the game now.
EA Sports stated it will "Celebrate some of football’s most memorable players" by featuring "new items that represent the unforgettable moments that turned them into fan favourites."
David Ginola looks to be the standout card so far, but we love the look of Joe Cole and Abedi Pele too!
