LATEST - Season 2 Reportedly Delayed
New information has recently come to light suggesting a delay for Warzone 2 Season 2. Call of Duty Dataminer CODSploitzImgs on Twitter has released some new file names, that suggest the release date has been pushed back.
This would push the release date of Season 2 by two weeks.
Warzone 2 Season 2 Release Date
Given that the Season 1 Battle Pass comes to an end right at the end of January, we expect Season 2 to follow almost immediately. This would mean a slightly longer wait than we had for Season 1 Reloaded, but still well within the usual season duration.
Warzone 2 Season 2 will begin on the 1st of February 2023, going live with all the content we expect to drop. Seasonal content usually goes live at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. We’d expect Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 to be no different.
It's entirely possible the update will go live slightly earlier, as in the launch of the new Warzone back in November. This staggers the player intake, which could be a good thing given the persistent server issues the new Battle Royale has faced.
Season 2 Leaks
If leaks are to be believed, the theme for Warzone 2 Season 2 will be Japan, and we expect much of the content to follow it. Along with a new Battle Pass and matching cosmetics, we've seen a few leaks that suggest what could be coming.
A resurgence map for the new Warzone was leaked back in December, finally giving players a chance to drop into the beloved mode. While this is not confirmed to be arriving with the new season, its popularity would certainly point to it appearing soon.
A leak of the key art for the next season of Warzone 2 also leaked, giving us a sneak preview of a new operator. It looks like the Ronin operator from Modern Warfare 2019 could be making a return. How to unlock him is still unknown, but expect a challenge and store bundle.
