Warzone 2 is now well underway, and it's finally almost time for Season 2 after a short delay, with leaks and rumours surfacing daily. We expect new weapons and a brand-new battle pass, but there's another special treat for fans we now know is lined up to release with the new season.
Rebirth was a hugely popular game mode in Warzone 1 and even saw a special playlist to celebrate its final day before closing. Now a leak suggests a similar mode could be coming to the new iteration as soon as Season 2, in early 2023. Here's everything we know so far.

Warzone 2 Rebirth Map Leaked
According to a leak that has surfaced via reddit, some fans believe we may have already had a sneak peak of the new resurgence map. Visible briefly before you drop into Al Mazrah, the small island off the coast is a serious candidate.
Now leaked with a detailed map of what may be in store, the graphic shows a small map just about the right size. While this is unlikely to be the final product, it does give us a good idea about what we may be in for when the mode does release in Warzone 2.
We already have confirmation from Activision that a similar mode will be dropping for the new iteration. Given the hype, it is likely we could see it with the release of Season 2.
What to Expect from Resurgence 2
With the release of DMZ alongside Warzone 2, we can expect the map to make an appearance in the new mode. How this more fast-paced style will translate to DMZ remains to be seen, but given its popularity, we are sure it will be well received.
The leak also mentions that the new map would be home to 50 players, up from 40 in the original rebirth mode. On a small map, this would level up the chaos, and see players really fighting for survival in the first few minutes.
