WWE 2K25 is one of the most highly anticipated sports games of 2025, with fans expecting the title to be a historic one, just like WWE's deal with Netflix, and take the franchise to new heights.

However, for that to happen, WWE 2K will need to fix some issues across the board and introduce exciting features. There are a handful of features that can help make WWE 2K25 a fantastic game, perhaps even making it a classic.

These features will improve the gameplay, modes, and custom creations, and above all, they will make WWE 2K25 incredibly immersive. So let's find out what WWE 2K25 needs to do to write its name in the video game history books.

Bring Road To WrestleMania Back

Road to WrestleMania is a fan favourite mode, and many in the WWE 2K community have been begging for it to return. The mode allowed you to pick a superstar of your choice and follow their journey to WrestleMania.

A return of the Road to WrestleMania mode would be great. It's one of the most popular game modes in WWE 2K franchise history, and with a couple of tweaks, it could easily become the best mode in the game.

MyRISE felt underwhelming in WWE 2K24, and Road to WrestleMania would give players a different way to experience a story mode, either with real superstars or their created characters.

More Match Types

There is no such thing as too many match types. Unfortunately, when new match types arrive others are removed, that has been the case in previous titles.

I think it's time to bring back match types such as Buried Alive and Inferno match and introduce matches like Strap match, Dumpster match, Blindfold match, Tag Team Royal Rumble, Underground match, and many others.

All of these matches would be a great addition to the game. It would give players more match types to choose from, allow them to live their dream matches in unique settings, and make WWE 2K25 more entertaining as a whole.

These new matches would also be available in other modes, such as MyGM and Universe mode. This would give players the chance to create even more unique storylines and rivalries.

Fix The Servers

It's not all about introducing new features. Sometimes, the best thing a game can do is fix its bugs. Server issues are something that have been plaguing the WWE 2K games for a long time and fixing them would probably be better than any new feature.

Latency lag is awful, plenty of times you are playing a MyFACTION match and get disconnected in the middle of it, and sometimes you can't even access online modes.

Playing online in any WWE 2K title is a nightmare, and a company as big as 2K shouldn't have this many problems when it comes to its servers. I believe 2K can fix their servers and provide us with a good online gaming experience.

If they can do that in WWE 2K25, then the game already becomes unique and has a good chance of being one of the best entries in franchise history.

This would also help the game be relevant for a longer time. Playing only offline modes eventually gets stale, and having great online modes gives players more reasons to keep coming back to the game. So fixing the servers is definitely something WWE 2K should have at the top of their list.
