Verdansk '84 is a bit boring and Raven Software know that. That's why they're... Adding a handful of small lorries that randomly spawn around the map. Yeah, we know it sounds rough, but that's what we're getting. Warzone's Season 5 map changes aren't too substantial, but we can only hope things are going to get better in the mid-season update...
UPDATE - New POI locations explained
Mobile Broadcast Stations have been added to Warzone's Verdansk '84 in the Season 5 update. They are essentially lorries with antenna attached to the back of them, looking at the promotional images on the Call of Duty Blog.
There's going to be a handful of these scattered about the map and they should change positions match-to-match. It could be a fun little addition, but we don't think it's going to change the way Warzone plays too much.
" As the name suggests, these mobile stations can be placed in a variety of locations in Verdansk, differing from match-to-match to keep one area from being signal boosted by the rewards they offer. See what they’re all about by going closer to them, but be sure to keep your head and tune out the broadcast each one emits…"
Season 5 Cinematic Trailer
This might not show us a lot of Verdansk '84, but the Season 5 Cinematic Trailer is here and the fight between Adler and Stitch is reaching boiling point. We've got a fantastic look at the new Operator, but Stitch is talking about being at some sort of Broadcast Station in Verdansk.
We know there are a few POIs this could be attributed to, but could we see Array replaced with a fully-fledged Broadcast Station in Season 5? Only time will tell, but we think this change would be a good one. The Array POI is a dead drop, really.
Warzone Season 5 Map Changes
There are no confirmed or strongly rumoured changes for the Warzone Season 5 map and this could because Season 4 brought plenty of changes and we also recieved the Reloaded update just a few weeks ago.
New Warzone Map
The reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard is expected to happen towards the end of August and could bring with it a look at the next Warzone map.
It's been widely rumoured that the new warzone map will bring huge changes, the main one being the overall size. The setting of the map is expected to be the Pacific Theatre and additional vehicles will be placed around the map to compensate for the increased area.
Some fans have speculated that the map could come a lot sooner than Verdansk '84 did. The Black Ops Cold War inspired map didn't show up until well after launch and fans don't want to have to wait too long for the next one.
Despite Verdansk '84 not showing up until late, it did bring up the Rebirth Island map fairly early one which inspired one of the most popular Warzone game modes, Resurgence Quads.
Warzone Season 5 Release Date
