Player First Games' popular platform fighter Multiversus, has taken the gaming world by storm during its open beta, with thousands of fighting game fans getting to know its colourful cast of warner bros fighters.
With fighters from Adventure Time, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Stephen Universe and upcoming additions like Rick and Morty; there is plenty to choose from but who is best? Where do you begin? Well, we've made a tier list to help you out.
Multiversus Character Tier List
The following tier list will be ranking all of the currently available Multiversus characters based on their competitive viability in the 2v2 mode which is the primary mode of the game.
While the placement of characters would alter slightly from the 1v1 meta, the difference is overall, fairly minimal as it stands, so many of the characters will easily translate between the two.
Here is the full tier list of characters:
S Tier
- Batman
- Bugs Bunny
- Finn The Human
- Harley Quinn
The four characters that make up the S-tier represent the best all-around characters currently available for those just picking up Multiversus. The two standouts of this list are Batman and Finn, both of whom are incredibly versatile characters that are pretty simple to pick up and play while dealing a lot of damage. Harley also falls into this category but falls a little bit short of the other two.
Bug Bunny meanwhile is a bit more of a high-skill character but is one of the most dominant options in the right hands, with mages being a favourite class among the higher levels of play. Bugs will likely be a mainstay of the ranked mode upon its release.
A Tier
- Jake The Dog
- LeBron James
- Shaggy
- Tome & Jerry
- Taz
- Velma
Representing a large portion of the roster with six total characters, the A tier consists of those characters that are certainly very good and will be able to take you far but aren't quite versatile enough to stand out on their own amongst the very best. Out of this list, the stand out is probably Tom & Jerry who, much like Bugs Bunny in the S Tier, is very good amongst high-skill players due to their insane reach and ranged attacks.
B Tier
- Arya Stark
- Reindog
- Superman
- Wonder Woman
The B Tier is where the list becomes a bit more clear to avoid with the only real standout being that of Arya Stark who is similar to Harley Quinn due to them both being a part of the Assassin Class. The difference comes in their versatility. Quinn has various traps to use while Arya needs to rely on Backstab to be useful.
Superman is also a decent fighter and can be a great entry point for players just getting to grips with the game but outside of that, the man of steel is just like that. Steel. Tanky but slow and really easy to predict once you know the character.
C Tier
- Garnet
- The Iron Giant
- Steven Universe
Finally, we have the C tier of characters which represent the ones you should probably avoid when playing Multiversus. Unless they are your favourites. Slow, predictable and, in the case of The Iron Giant, complicated; these characters can all be useful in the right hands but the journey to make those hands yours is likely going to be a longer one due to these characters' lack of use when compared to the rest of the roster.
