Minecraft has gotten rather adventurous over the last few months. With the launch of Caves & Cliffs part one and the huge How to Train Your Dragon DLC, it's fair to say they have big plans for the future.
With Caves and Cliffs part two out in a few months and the Sonic DLC just dropping, it's clear that growth is not stopping. Here's everything you need to know about the latest DLC.
What Is The Minecraft Sonic DLC?
Sonic turned 30 years old the other day and tonnes of new announcements came out from the Sonic Central stream, including hints at a brand new Sonic game. If this wasn't enough excitement, Minecraft have joined in on the fun with a brand new DLC.
This DLC looks blazing fast with tonnes of new skins and enemies to take on. The world is heavily inspired by Sonic's Green Hill Zone, though it's unsure what type of music will be included yet, hopefully, something from the wonderful orchestra.
You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy and much more and this even comes with a high score mode to challenge your friends. If you've just "gotta go fast", this seems like the perfect DLC for you.
How to Access It
Luckily, accessing this DLC is very straightforward. After you've installed Minecraft, go to the main menu and click on the marketplace. You can then go into the store and search for "Sonic the Hedgehog".
You can buy it here for 1340 Minecoins, under £10. After it's purchased and downloaded, go to create a new world and you should find it in the Add-Ons section. Click on it and boot up your world. You're now in.
